Found it, 28,433 for last year. Not bad for a rebuilding year. First few years in the Big East the average was about 18,000😎

And 37,096 in 2015. So if 40,00 is capacity at Nippert, we are only a winning season away from filling up the place. A 9-3 season would do the job.😎

Exactly--more wins, more attendance. You want butts in the seats--put out a good product.

Let's look at Cleveland as an example:

Browns attendance:
https://www.statista.com/statistics/2500...nd-browns/

Indians attendance
https://www.baseball-reference.com/teams...tend.shtml

Cavs attendance
https://www.statista.com/statistics/1975...ince-2006/

Cleveland St. attendance
https://www.clevescene.com/scene-and-hea...ff-a-cliff

You'll notice that the Browns and the Vikings attendance is way down as a league average and as a 10-year trend, while the Indians and the Cavs are trending up in both categories.

If you win....people watch you and pay for tickets. If you suck, people quit buying tickets and watching you.

It's really that simple.

Exactly. And UC's target customer is not the Casual Fan. Their target audience is the alumni in the 100 mile radius and especially inside the 275 corridor.😎

Exactly.

We're not really going to have many "converts" from among the Buckeye or Wildcat faithful. They'll show up at Nippert sometimes--in full scarlet and gray or blue attire and we'll gladly take their ticket money. But if UC wants to continue growing the season ticket and single game sales it will be from the folks who already have an affinity for our school.

The good news? That target audience alone can more than fill Nippert and 5th/3rd for every home date.

Yep. That target audience has already sold out all the club seats in the new arena as of yesterday.
