Looks pretty good on paper. It will be interesting to see what changes are being made on offense (more of a spread look, I'm hearing), and how these will fit in.

Much better than last year, and I'm especially pleased with the nationally ranked P/K!
Such a critical part of the game.

RE: CMU's 2017 Football Class
Might be the worst CMU class in the Enos Bono train wreck era.

Full of too many smallish DBs, noodle arm undersized Olinemen, and slow WRs, one of whom committed without even seeing the school (often a bad sign).

Can't see one of these players seeing the field as a freshmen other than the TE from Greenville.

The coach with his hands on his face says it all

Except Randy Moss was 6'5" not 6'3" and he ran a 4.4, not an unbelievably slow 4.9

And you wonder why we label you Slappies

Chris Vannini tweeted that CMU's recruiting ranking jumped dramatically from last year to this year.

I don't care about stars. I want to see us get kids other schools wanted, and Bono and his coaches did a solid job of that. I'm guessing some new (young) blood on the staff helped in that regard.

Last year vs this year

Last year 18 commits with 6 (33%) three stars
This year 27 commits with 7 (27%) three stars

Seems to me you were more productive quality wise last year, quantity wise this year. Moved up 1 spot. EMU got a stud QB from River Rouge with 20 offers. Yet ranking wise that's no better than any other 3 Star.

By the way, this site is way more user friendly, particularly with smartphone, than Scout ever was.
