Here's how Towson ranks as a team in CAA-only games:

Scoring: 5th (73.5 ppg)
Scoring Defense: 5th (70.3 ppg)
Scoring Margin: 3rd (+3.2 ppg)
FG %: 7th (.443)
FG % Defense: 2nd (.434)
3-Pt %: 9th (.310)
3-Pt % Defense: 5th (.344)
Free Throw %: 5th (.683)
Rebounding Offense: 1st (40.0 rpg)
Rebounding Defense: 2nd (31.8 rpg)
Rebounding Margin: 1st (+8.2 rpg)
Blocks: 3rd (3.6 bpg)
Assists: 10th (10.2 apg)
Steals: 3rd (6.2 spg)
Turnover Margin: 5th (-0.31)
A/TO Ratio: 10th (0.8)

Towson is the hottest team in the league right now, having won 11 of their last 12, with their only loss coming @ Northeastern on 1/28.

The Tigers are playing winning basketball despite not being a great passing team nor a good perimeter shooting team. Their offense is dictated by a lot of iso basketball. They can get away with this because of their very capable starting unit.

Defensively they're causing a lot of problems for teams by taking away secondary scoring opportunities. If we elect to shoot a lot from 3 we're not going to be able to count on Cacok cleaning up messes. They're a great interior team that prevents second chance opportunities.

Now for the stats from Towson's individual performers in CAA-only games:

William Adala Moto

* Scoring: 28th (11.3 ppg)
* Rebounding: 6th (7.2 rpg)

Mike Morsell

* Scoring: 24th (11.6 ppg)
* FT %: 7th (.784)

Deshaun Morman

* Steals: 5th (1.5 spg)
* FT %: 3rd (.822)

Eddie Keith II

* Blocks: 12th (0.8 bpg)

John Davis was a big loss for the Tigers, as he was among the league leaders in rebounding and field goal percentage. But they still have a formidable foursome capable of reeling off wins without him. They proved that by winning back-to-back double digit games against Elon and JMU last weekend.

Still, UNCW will be a tougher test. We won in their building on December 31st, though that feels like ages ago with the way the Tigers have played since starting 0-4 in league play.
