* - forgive me as I'm a novice, but what do you call these events? Games? Matches? Perhaps I should ask Alger. I blame him and Bourne for me not knowing of course.

This is how I feel when I'm polite & offer to solicit donations on their behalf. No response = "You're not worth my time."

Easy enough response for me to roll back my donation to the minimum for the benefits I want. I love JMU, but I can donate to the School of Music if athletics is too good to reply to fundraising efforts.

Shouldn't we have an administrator that just says "have fun, go wild, make noise and support your Dukes within the ncaa and TV broadcast rules. To other teams, we say toughen up. To fans, we say get loud."

Why is that so hard?

Sending emails to Jon Alger to voice concerns over something is an ABSOLUTE waste of time.

Liberal Diversity Attorneys should not be President of 20K+ public institutions in Virginia.

Sometimes he will answer, sometimes he won't even if you recruit the campus for students that he oversees. weird dude that doesn't have the qualities you would expect in a state university president.

However, if you think communication doesn't impact him at all, I would hold up the COA faux pas as an example. He screwed the pooch on that one and the backlash caused him to change his thinking and approve COA. His heiney was getting roasted based on his original stance against COA and the underhanded nature of his agenda to align with schools who are not JMU peers in any way, shape, or form.

He should be sent out of Harrisonburg on the first rail that shows up.

I actually got a robo response from jmusports.com that they had received my email and then got an email from Kevin Warner this morning that he had received my feedback and would pass it on to the appropriate people. Might be another robo email but at least I got a response.

The opposing team "welcome" was back last night - albeit a bit more subdued than before but it was there - and the Pep Band was amped up last night!! Don't know if they did it without permission (doubt it) or our/other comments were taken to heart, but it was fun to see. Can't wait to see them blow out all the other pep bands at the tournament next week.

I also loved the guy screaming "Precious Hall, we love you!" from the band. It set the tone for the evening. They were definitely amped up!
