The secret to three point defense—don't let the other team take them.

The inability to hit free throws is Evidence #1 that this team isn't trying anymore and has mentally checked out.
But go ahead and blame the coach. He can't make them want to win.
Bench em and put guys in who want to play. Get blow out , you get blown out.

Mehinti is not the only problem. The problem is team wide. Yes, the coach is supposed to motivate them, but some players can't be motivated. What is he supposed to do then.
Gene Bartow had players who he couldn't motivate. You could usually find those players sitting next to him on the bench. That is where Lee should be.
Put. Them. On. The . Bench.

how many time we need to go inside with mehinti with his hand of stone
we dont play any defense
we suck and lee think that he is a small guard
lee wont make it to the nba because he doesnt want to gain muscle
We don't need a new coach. He needs a new team. Maybe these same players, but a new team with a new attitude. A team of players that want to play basketball and not just sit around reading about how good they are.
Ehsan may be a bad coach, but let's see what he does with players who want to play first.
So why do guys decide to quit in year 3 or 4? It's not like these guys have played like bums their entire time here?

RE: WKU Game thread
We went the last 5:02 w/o a FG. We seemed to be trying to force the ball to Tosin and whatever rythm we had was lost. We need to stop trying to force the inside game to Tosin. His hands are terrible so if the pass is not perfect he's not gonna get it. His instincts are bad as well. He decides what he's gonna do before he gets the ball. His screens seem to always result in offensive fouls, too. Perhaps he should be considered a defensive replacement and when Cokley goes to the bench we need to move Lee to C and bring in Madison or play Smallwood more. The passing around the perimeter that Haase used to do was frustrating then and its double frustrating now because there's no RB to create a shot...
