Lol This is Atlanta. For the reasons you stated 8/31 will be standing room only. We also have H and H gameso in coming years with Vandy and UNC. I am sure the new staff is seeking others in the region. So I am sure we will need those seats eventually and likely soon.

When are Vandy and UNC coming to town? Over next 3 years I see Memphis and I think Western Michigan and FCS teams OOC.
Cheers!

So we should build out now or in 4 to 7 years. History says as a mid major you strike while the iron is hot. Can't keep going back to the well forever in a continual basis. I think k what we are doing is fine for now. It is not too big and it still guarantees we can schedule H and Hs. In fact I hope we replace a couple scheduledays by the previous staff. I see no benefit to a CMU H and H.

In his dreams.

Ga Southern might be able to fill the place but aside from that there will be 15k people or less at games. Maybe get a nice tarp.

Gotta have rafters to do that. Ga State will be playing in their brand spanking new football stadium (no dome) this year. The cash drop was cringeworthy, like Bill Curry's tenure was. But that was then and Ga State is probably going to be okay.

Bill is an was ok. AD Cheryl Levick the originator of the cash drop and who laughed at other start ups...not so much.

So in 2018 Georgia St will own a 33,000 seat (all chair back) stadium? Obviously, I don't think it will happen. I'm not wishing against it, I just don't think it will happen. Been hearing so many fans of schools tell me their big plans and not one time have I seen what was predicted come to fruition. My skepticism is based 100% on experience. I'll book mark this. If I'm wrong in 2018 I'll stand up like a man and say I called BS, and I was wrong.
Cheers!

You do realize that we own a stadium NOW with 49k chair backs, right? We are reducing to 23k this year. Adding 10k back next year and completing in 2019 k Phase 3 where all of football operations will be moved to the stadium.

You bought a baseball stadium. I'm talking about Georgia St's football stadium. And UTSA plays in the Alamodome...And USF plays in RayJay, and SDSU plays in the Q and Temple plays in the Linc. They could all buy those stadiums some day too, but they wouldn't be the same size, as the fans for the NFL games are much larger.
I know of the baseball stadium that a baseball team played in, left, and Georgia St is taking it over. You said the stadium will be a Georgia St renovated football stadium that seats 33,000 all chair back in 2018. I say that won't happen. 1. It's too expensive for an FBS start up program to get done.2. There is no need for it; doesn't make sense with the fan base/support.

Cheers!
