I like Eustachy, but the guy is a crazy mofo.

I mean yea he's a tough guy to play for, but I haven't read anything that points to "abuse".

I think the "abuse" is in reference to intimidation/verbal and not so much physical but I could be wrong

Even verbally, all that is pretty normal to be honest.

Abused is a stretch. (Although, there may be worse behavior)

Abuse or no....I think acted like a dick is probably a fair characterization:

"In Eustachy’s five years with the Rams, only one player who signed as a freshman completed four years with the team. Seven scholarship players, including five starters, have transferred under Eustachy’s tenure, and two of the three assistant coaches he brought with him left the program for less prestigious jobs." -Deadspin

I once saw a high school DC whose halftime adjustments one game consisted entirely of slamming his white board against a wall. His team gave up 20-something first downs in the 1st half and something like 4 in the 2nd.

Curley Hallman punched his fist clean through a chalkboard in the visiting team's locker room at Legion Field in 1990. They either didn't replace it or kept it & put it back especially for us when we went back in '91.

I have a difficult time believing throwing some stuff against the wall is his worst offense if the school is tugging on his leash. Maybe some folks just ducked in time.

...there's the story told by Kenny Stabler of Oakland Raider HC John Madden who was so pissed at the raiders play that he threw a chair at the chalk board at halftime of a game and the leg impaled the board...as he walked out he winked at Snake Stabler....it was all an act to get the team to play better. and they did..and they won that game.

Surprised a player hasn't popped Slackjaw or one of his kind in practice or a game. I won't be shocked when it happens.
