Did you see Silvers play against the stAte defense?

Guess that can be said about most QBs.

Yeah, and StAte also had a solid defense, plus that was Brandon Silvers worst outing the whole year. Heck, he performed better against Clemson than he did against StAte... but Silvers was more consistent throughout the season than Hansen was, that's for sure.

COMPLETION PERCENTAGE FOR 2016:
Silvers: 58.5%
Hansen: 46.2%

Heck, even 6-6 UCF was able to shut Hansen down.

Hansen was not 46.2% on the season. You are full of ****.

It was 46.2 for the UCF game. 57.9 for the season.

I don't think anyone in this conference will come close to our offensive production this coming year. With Henderson coming in as well as Frye and a Healthy Chunn we have a lot more depth. We lead the conference in scoring last year without Henderson, and Frye got injured in game 9 as well as Chunn.

This is perhaps the best Troy team we have ever fielded with 80% of last years team returning plus addition of Henderson and others.

While I agree, I can't completely disagree with Chief's statement. Their offense under Anderson scored 49 points per game before they made the awful mistake of hiring Buster. With Anderson at the helm, they'll be dangerous. If Taylor Lamb played like he did in 2015, it could be a three way race for best offense. Not seeing anyone else challenge that.

Taylor will be much improved as his WR corp will take a leap forward this year. That group made Taylor look bad at times even though it wasn't his doing.

App has a couple of question marks on the OL, if the new starters perform at a high level, and based on past performances the last 2 years, there is no reason to believe we will not finish as one of the top 3 offenses in the conference.

Ya app proved to be ahead of last years team. And this offense this year will be even better.

He should fair better this year as he doesn't face the App defense. Chunn didn't seem to have the same power after that. Glad we don't see him this year.

In a boxing match, I take Chunn. In college, I take Moore. In the NFL, I take Chunn (as an H-Back and short yardage guy).

Maybe. Maybe not. In Troy's situation, Chunn can be your best defensive weapon if used correctly.

That's true. That was the most physical, grinding Sun Belt football game I've ever seen. App State's defense wore Chunn out for the rest of the season until the bowl game.

I'm not sold on Hansen even being the starting QB for next season. I don't know where are all this confidence comes from in our fans.

He was a senior, no?

Also, it was kind of an award for 2nd best defensive player, as for some reason the Overall Player of the Year can't win the defensive player of the year too.

Yes but that's not the point... we didn't have the conferences best defense even with the defensive player of the year. Was one of the best but I don't believe we had the best. So that doesn't mean Apps offense would be either.

However we did have the conferences best offense in several categories last year. Hell we had the #1 offense in the country in sacks allowed

You guys are splitting hairs. APP, ARKST, and TROY "should" be the top three teams, with little separation between the three. Someone always challenges that and ULL, USA, Idaho, and GS could certainly get in there.

League looks strong but I'm curious as to what everyone brings back.

Rashad Dillard was the 2016 Defensive player of the year. So yes we did. You might have had player of the year but my fact still stands.
