It came down to two pretty awful choices, but that didn't just "happen". On the dim side, yea, it was preordained, or rigged, one may call it. The entire DNC hierarchy was in on it, the debate "moderators" were in on it, self-proclaimed Hacks, the print press was getting stories pre-screened and approved and layer after layer after layer.

The R side, had the largest, most qualified, most varied in experience field of choices to ever run for either major political party. By far. Not even close. And guess what?

President Trump beat 'em all. He didn't elect himself, the voters in 30 of the 50 States elected him. The largest Republican electoral margin of victory in nearly 30 years.

So unless your contention is that voters in 30 States and some ridiculous majority of Counties are all largely irrational, I think you may be missing much the same things the blithering morons that ran that awful campaign did.

It's not so much excusing him or what he may or may not do, it's refusing to continue to excuse what these people in DC have been doing now for a generation or more.

None of the above countries were part of Drumpf's travel ban.

What about a nuclear attack or some other type of missile attack? Right now I doubt North Korea has sophisticated weaponry to make it to the U.S. intact, but Russia and China certainly do. I'd have to think an attack from a foreign country (and subsequent war, or end of humanity) is still very unlikely, but the Doomsday Clock did advance to 2 1/2 minutes to midnight shortly after Trump took office.
