Yea man, I really like what Chuck was doing out there! We may end up being a better team after this tough stretch because we're learning that we have a few other guys that can do things.

Tough not having Cacok in there at the end. It might have been a different outcome in the end.
CofC made 19-25 FTs. UNCW only made 12-23. That was the difference in the ball game.
Great atmosphere in Trask, as it looked on the online feed. 5,200 folks loud all night.

They lost because they still don't play good defense AND free throws.

Do we learn though? This is not the first tie Chuck has contributed, yet, he still can't find the floor.

No Hoops, he said that UNCW DID lose because of FT's. He just said that Chris not making that last one wasn't his fault.

Fair enough. Shouldn't have been in that position anyways. Hope Chris shakes it off, because he hasn't been playing well at all.

I don't blame Chris there. He made 4 of 5 tonight. That was a very tough pressure spot. And why were there people screaming during his FTs at the end? WTF?!

You could tell that Trask was rocking. Toughest place to play in the CAA again? Sure sounded and looked like it tonight.

CoC had a strong turnout behind their bench

RE: Game 22 - Charleston 7 PM Thursday 2/2
UNCW simply does not sit down on defense, don't talk enough and are not tough on the boards other than Cacok. If COC could shoot the ball at all it would have been a blowout. They also appeared to be tired to me,maybe he needs to play more people or back off the press some. Looked like some dead legging at the freethrow line as well and it cost them a game they should have won. No doubt that Ogbodo should have played more and had to be in the game at the end to defend. I am sure Keatts loves how hard Bryan plays but he is playing with limited athletic ability. Gotta defend, take care of the ball and make free throws to win close games-pretty basic stuff.

Was right behind the two teams jawing at each other after the game. For some reason Chuck and a guy from Charleston really had it out for one another and that was pretty much the whole reason the two teams didn't shake hands. I wouldn't be surprised if Keatts sits Chuck for who knows how long because of that...

RE: Game 22 - Charleston 7 PM Thursday 2/2
Went to the game:
Trash win for CofC. They can send a nice thank you card and flowers to the refs for the win.
1. Chris Flemmings needs to get his balls back from whoever took them. I've never seen a player play so well and regress so much from one year to the next. He's playing scared and is giving up the ball instead of being aggressive and trying to score. CAA tournament MVP, Preseason POY, NBA scouts coming to games, to now maybe the 4th best player on THIS team, and maybe not even top 10 in the CAA. We rely on offense. And if he can't get his game back we're in trouble
2. Complete trash calls by the refs that cost us dearly. Time and time again the refs made calls that got worse and worse. There was probably a 10 minute stretch where they made no baskets, but shot FT's on 7 straight possessions. I cannot express jut how bad they were.
3. For a four guard lineup, we have got to have one of the worst FT shooting teams in the nation. I don't know what we practice, but we need to triple our time on FT's.
4. Chuck Ogbodo needs to be the #1 option to back up Cacock. I have no idea what Keatts sees in Bryan over Chuck. If he got more PT, I think we'd be surprised what Ogbodo could bring to the table. Bryan is 6'7" and i'm not sure he can dunk. Chuck is a better shot blocker, better defender and better on offense and runs the floor far better than Bryan. I hope to god we have a transfer center waiting in the wings who can play immediately next year. Not only did Brantley take Bryan to the hole at the end easily, he got the and one. Foul the crap out of him instead of giving up the shot.
5. Trask is back! That is the loudest it has been since the glory years. I remember being up stairs yelling as loud as I could and couldn't hear myself back in the day. It was that loud several times in the last few minutes of the game.
We are on a downswing as the Tribe, CofC and Towson are on the rise. Keatts needs to shake this team up and come up with a game plan to turn this team around.
