Yes, you know that chant (UNCW lore aspect as well) and it's never been more applicable. I told everbody before the Tribe game that we weren't guarding and I was right. If this team wants to do anything, they have to guard somebody. And, I don't care whether that's a press or especially in half court, it has to happen. If that means different people getting minutes, that's fine. UNCW has to STOP somebody and it has to start Thursday and continue to the end.

RE: DDD Defense
Bill I agree 100% , I said after the Clemson that they played soft half court defense and I still see the same thing. Maybe they expend so much energy with the press that they can't guard the dribble drive very well. It is really tough to press the entire game, play great half court defense and fast break every time you get a chance. If they played 10-12 players it would make it more likely to work but that is not the case. The thing is that when you get into tournament play most teams will try to slow the ball down and limit number of possessions . They might try turning the dribble around with a aggressive hedge-they have the quickness to do that I think. I have also seen them go under to many times and I think at this level you will get burned by most shooters if you do that very much. Bottom line is they have to pick it up and play better team defense-I think they have the guys to be very good on the ball but will still give up the post for the most part.
