UVA game moved up to 2:30 due to pending bad weather.

Junior RHP Derek Casey listed as their starter. Had an ERA listed on the season, but couldn't find any action for him yet this year, after sitting out last year due to surgery the end of the 2015 season. Hopefully our bats come out quick.

Only Top 25 undefeated teams left are UVA, Louisville, UNC, Ole Miss and Arizona. Go Tribe!

Strong starting pitching, which had us ahead 2-1 after six, negated by relief collapse in seventh inning where UVA tallied seven runs.

Looks like LHP Nick Raquet had a great outing against UVA today. The UNC transfer only gave up 3 hits through 5 innings & turned the ball over to the bullpen with the Tribe up 2-1. Have to think Raquet will move into a weekend starter role. Would push one of the Tribe's 3 returning weekend starters (Brown, Powers or Sheehan) into a mid-week starter role. That's some nice pitching depth to have.

Ameer and Wrighte, two more hits for Large.

Reliever Wright with strong save, four ks in final two innings.

Best game Bodie Sheehan has ever pitched for the Tribe based on the stats.

Sheehan--7.3 IP, 3h, 11k...Ameer and Large with home runs.

Some interesting facts about Sheehan:
- All 11 Ks were swinging.
- He hasn't given up an extra-base hit all year.
- Yesterday he was throwing, according to the article, a steady diet of mid-80s fastballs to the outside corner.

Baseball America writer Hudson Belinsky is at the game today. He tweets:
"William & Mary LHP threw three pitches for strikes in B1. Stout bodied with quick arm. FB 89-92, CH 83-84, CB 75-77. CH has some upside." So I'm guessing Raquet is starting.

Tribe finish off 3-0 weekend with very good 2-1 comeback win over Rhode Island. Two runs in top of the 8th.

Better news is the Powers pitched very well today. Not sure why Racquet only went two innings as the starter.

Team has been very, very solid to start the season. Good opportunity to pick up two good wins this week against Maryland and VA Tech.

Will be an interesting return to the 'Burg on Wednesday for new Tech associate head coach, Jamie Pinzino. Much of our current pitching staff were his recruits. Let's send him back to the other 'Burg with his fatter wallet, but with a loss and regrets. Seems strange that Blacksburg is 2 hours closer to Boston and his wife and son, then Williamsburg. Williamsburg was still much closer than Oklahoma, regardless. Go Tribe!

Sheehan is the CAA Pitcher of the Week

Freshman Wade Strain gets the start against the Hokies and gives up two runs on two hits, one walk and two errors with the Hokies' first at bat. Tribe takes the lead right back in their order at 5-2 and still counting.

Hokies soph pitcher had a 12.86 era last year. Doesn't appear Pinzino has worked any pitching coaching magic this year. Blow 'em up, guys.
