2017 Football Opponents
KSU announced their opponents for 2017:
They open the season Sept. 2 at Clemson, the second straight season they have played the reigning national champion.
Other OOC: vs. Howard, @Marshall, and @Louisville.
MAC road games: Akron, Ohio, NIU, WMU
MAC home games: BG, UB, CMU, Miami
I see 2-4 wins in what would then be Coach Haynes final season.

That's gotta be the easiest OOC schedule I've seen in a long time. I'd be disappointed if Ohio didn't go 4-0.
In fact, that's a very favorable schedule overall.

EMU:
Home: Ball State, Bowling Green, Charlotte, Ohio, Western Michigan
Away: Army, Central Michigan, Kentucky, Miami (OH), Northern Illinois, Rutgers, Toledo
Tough schedule with 7 road games including improving Army and a P5 bowl team, Kentucky.
Very, very difficult to repeat 7 wins this year.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if EMU got bowl eligible again with that schedule. No gimmes, but none of those opponents are "bodybag" games by any stretch of the imagination.

That's a schedule ripe for at least eight wins and an East title if we can leave Athens with a victory. Given how we return most key players, double digit wins and a MAC championship is very possible.

How many return from this year's EMU team? IIRC they have to replace a lot on the o-line, and that's never an easy spot to recover from.

RE: 2017 Football Opponents
Ohio has a good schedule. They get a P5 home game, Kansas, which they should win. And a shot at a Big10 road win at Purdue. Umass and Hampton are winnable, they get Miami, toledo and Central at home which are good draws as far as the MAC.
Miami has UC at home. if they win that they could run the table in oxford. will be interesting to see if they can compete in south bend in september.

Correct!!
The OL takes a big, big hit with 3 or 4 starters graduating.
many are not sold on the replacements.
