RE: Adritico's vs LaRosa's
I'm amazed at the amount of people that don't like LaRosas. When it comes to delivery pizza you can get anywhere in the Cincinnati area it's heads and shoulders above the rest (Marcos, Papa Johns, Dominos, Pizza Hut). I feel lucky to live in the Queen City where I can get my LaRosas fix. It's something about the Larosas cheese and sauce combo. That said, Adriaticos is the best... whoever mentioned Mios earlier I'm a big fan as well, almost never get it because if I'm going out for Pizza it's almost always Adriaticos but Mios is delicious too.

Yeah, I've occasionally had a traditional slice that hit the spot and I think it is because of the sauce/cheese combo. They get a nice light browning on the cheese that enhances the flavor iirc. It's the traditional crust that drags the pie down imo. Colorless on the bottom and both texture and flavor free throughout. Literally too white bread for my taste.

We used to have a Cassanos by the home I grew up in. Absolutely loved the pizza but you better carry out because it was the most disgusting restaurant you could imagine
Daly Road? That place was like stepping back into the 60's.
Yep, grew up in Finneytown off Galbraith.

Think they've been closed for years. Closest may now be in Fairfield and I hear it's dirty with terrible service.

Can't recall when they closed, my guess is around 10 years ago

Daly Road has been closed at least 5 years, but not 10. Fairfield Cassano's is a step back in time also. I always order carryout if I'm up that way. Pizza is still good.

Pizza is a lot like sex; you'll never turn down a piece when it's offered to you, but some is better than others.

Pizza is like sex. You can never have enough, there is style and size for everyone and it is even better the next morning.

Good stuff.

Against all odds, this has turned out to be one of the better threads in the last couple of months and has surpassed the realignment thread as far as I'm concerned.

Really? YOU say that, after all the TBL quotes in the Realignment Thread? I would have thought you would have been a lot more biased towards the latter...

Interesting the difference in tastes regarding pizza - my wife and I, having been born and raised on the east coast basically won't eat the pizza here. Putting aside NYC pizzerias like Ray's. if any of you are ever in the New Haven, Ct. area make sure to get to Wooster St. and either Pepe's or Sally's. Could well be the best pizza in the country. 02-13-banana

Adritico's vs LaRosa's
There is a pizza show on Viceland called...The Pizza Show. They travel to the pizza places around New York/Jersey. They had a place that puts cold cheese on top of the pizza after it comes out to avoid burning your mouth (mainly for the after hours crowd).

Well I guess it may be time to start the burger thread...

In-and-Out Burger anyone? I prefer the one on Camrose NEAR Radford...

RE: Adritico's vs LaRosa's
US pizza does not measure up to eating good pizza in southern Italy. The tomatoes are better, the wine is better, the views are better, the crust is thin with a slight burn on the bottom but still chewy with no crunch. And it gets to your table like 5 minutes after ordering. East coast pizza is pretty good though.

I think some folks are too hung up on the thick crust bearcat. Adriatico's has other crust options. As I mentioned earlier, the traditional hand tossed in restaurant can be over the top good if they hit it right.

The In-and-Out burger place in Fisherman's Wharf, SF, has a line out the door from open minute until closing. Simply amazing. And the double-double burgers and shakes are worth every minute of the wait.

Like I said earlier, the crust on an Adriatico's Bearcat beats an ambien for sleep induction.
