Next pro team to move
Who will be next team in a Big 4 (NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL) sport to move? I have no insight, but would guess the Athletics or Rays due to stadium issues.

Jacksonville Jaguars and Carolina Hurricanes are the most mentioned IMO.

Jaguars for certain among the Big 3. The NHL, I don't follow, so who knows.

RE: Next pro team to move
that's the big ? Can the NFL work in London? I'm intrigued by the concept of 4 games in Jacksonville and 4 in London per year but that might not be realistic. Otherwise, it would be jaguars moving to St. Louis if the stadium deal comes back. Ditto, San Diego with stadium deal. I would guess you have a franchise switch if that ever happens with the jaguars going to LA and chargers going to SD again. Yet, since St. Louis and San Diego just lost teams hard to see it happen but they both could be good markets. I guess another option could be Levi stadium for team 2, California jaguars? I mean that area has ton of $. Jacksonville isn't really the best spot for an NFL franchise either

There is no stadium in Saint Louis. There is no stadium deal in Saint Louis. The state will not contribute. The county sat out the last time. The city is small and poor.

San Diego will not fund a stadium. Neither will Shahid Kahn. The Jaguars are going nowhere, slowly.

The Jags may have better luck doubling or tripling up somewhere.

Is the Alamodome NFL-caliber? Is it far enough away to placate Jones?

While talking to Vegas, they also spoke to San Antonio, which spoke of building a ~60,000~ seat stadium probably not much more luxurious than the Superdome.

I do believe the Jags are moving, and if the NFL is willing to make a butt load of concessions, I can see St. Louis, San Diego, or Oakland getting them. Not without the concessions though. No concessions=no deal.

None of those three cities are going to spend a dime on a new stadium.

Not for the NFL. It's a good bet that both SD and StL will get MLS franchises and stadiums for them.

And why would they want the Jaguars? Especially San Diego and Oakland?

St. Louis County maybe, St. Louis city poor and the state is not gonna fund anything.

RE: Next pro team to move
Saint Louis county isn't going to fund a soccer stadium either. The two proposed ownership groups want to build a stadium in the city.

The leading group said they would build a $200 million stadium next to Union Station. Then, they said they need $80 million from the city. A few weeks later and they need $40 million from the state. The new governor says hell no. That cause the city assemblywoman sponsoring a bill to put the $80 million city funding on the ballot for April municipal elections to withdraw the bill. While I think an MLS team would be successful here, they are going to have to build there own stadium.

Which is exactly why I said if anyone is gonna fund the stadium, it'll be St. Louis County and not the city. Or a private owner, but without public funds.

A St. Louis team owner might fund a soccer stadium privately, but not an NFL stadium. The difference between $150 million and $1.5 billion is not insignificant.
