Visiting this week I believe he would have been a teammate of Dawson and Granger

I believe both Desmond Kelly and Devon Anderson are teammates at Dodge City.

Does this suggest we are trying for both OR that we might be out of it for Kelly?

Apparently Kelly had a very good visit last weekend.

Are we trying to go 'heavy' at DT?

RE: 2017 Football Recruiting (Thread II)
I just saw that Kelly is taking a visit at Charlotte this weekend. Could just be trying to explore all options at this point.

MAC recruiting is so tricky, you guys. We won't really know what happens until a few days after signing-day. What is good is that we have some experience that came in during the Winter semester -- they will contribute right away. The JUCO folks that sign after and are enrolling in Spring classes will contribute. Who knows what these freshmen classes bring (unless you are WMU, Toledo, or maybe MIAMI now).

We need to lock up Grissom and the the Florida WR and some more OLine help. I have a feeling we will be getting some major help with OLINE come signing day.

This new OLine coach really needs to come through with another Juco OT or 2!

Karmi looks like a solid athlete with quite some bad luck, tore his whole knee long jumping... Just reading this article it seems like he is a solid dude, always a huge plus -- Willie Parker, for example. http://prepsportsscouting.com/2016/08/20...mi-mackey/

Interested to see where he ends up playing, if he sticks.

Wonder if he's a preferred walk on or something? With the knee injury and our RB depth this doesn't make a lot of sense for a full scholarship?

Big, tough runner very similar to our other RB in this class. Great looking athlete if his knee comes back 100%. Looking at the film, and crazy stats, it's tough to judge because of the poor level of competition.

Hopefully he turns out to be a huge hidden gem. Could end up at MLB as well, if RB doesn't work out. Welcome Karmi

Hm, losing an instate kid within a half hour of Ypsi is never a good sign. Words cannot describe how ****** I am about how recruiting has gone so far this year with football. Very disappointing.

Wonder where he would have ranked prior to the injury?

Now there is a need at DE for this class.

Not sure if this name came up yet, Endrickson Boucher. A CB from Florida. Looks like he will visit EMU next weekend instead of Pitt. He verbaled last summer at one point to FAU, and had offers at one time from numerous FBS teams.

Honestly, if we were going to lose somebody in this class, I'm fine with this guy. Next to no offers, and way too small.

Not sure why you're upset about recruiting this year? It's the same as every year. Of everybody on this board you should know this better than anyone.

Really need corners, sign him up!

Would really like to get Da'Meak Brandon that visited last week from Ohio.

EMU79, this is really not surprising, is it? How many universities have administrators partner with ESPN to fabricate a story on how the football program should be shut down. Then as the lava from the volcano is smoldering, the same administrator detonates another nuclear bomb a few months later to spew the same garbage. EMU could be a great place for football but someone needs to shut up that administrator!!!!! Creighton's job is hard enough with out Bunsis bull ****.

Not surprising because this staff just doesn't recruit well, and has a scattershot plan.......nothing to do with ESPN.

Fayed committed to EMU knowing full well the ESPN stuff was a non-story. WMU just swept in with a brand new staff and stole him because we weren't good enough to keep him.

No excuses.

Because we may not do as well as the previous three classes under this staff even after going to a bowl

EMU might add a CB transfer from G.T. Meiko Dotson, who played in 12 games this year as a R-FR.
