9/4 Tulane* (Sunday)
9/10 @ Alabama
9/17 McNeese St
9/24 @ Houston*
10/1 @ ECU*
10/8 Tulsa*
10/15 UCF*
10/21 @ UAB* (Friday)
10/29 @ NC State
11/8 or 11/9 @ Marshall* (Tuesday/Wednesday)
11/19 Memphis*
I can see 7 - 8 wins. If we can get consistant play from our QB spot it could add another win or 2.
Most Dangerous game - Houston.
Houston has the potential to beat anyone at anytime, last years game showed Houston is hungry & the gap between us & them has closed.
Thank God it's over - Alabama Series
I don't think any USM fan wanted to see this continue.
Rivalry Renewed - Tulsa
I was at USM durring the Tulsa series of the early 90's & really enjoyed those games.
Strong Finish - NC State, Marshall & Memphis
We are going to have to be strong finish to keep from having a disapointing finish.

If Almond can stay healthy and our defense stands strong I could see anywhere from 7-10 wins this football season. I really have faith that this years USM-Bama game will be the best, and that USM might actually play Bama with a healthy QB and some heart!!! The only scheduling problem I have is that we play 1-AA McNeese State.............? If our AD scheduled the UCF game to be our Homecoming, why did we sign McNeese State?

Scheduling McNeese gives us another home game + the fact that when TCU made their run a couple of years back they played an easier schedule. What does it prove to play Alabama, Auburn & NC State the CUSA East will be tough enough.
Last year Memphis, UTEP each played a d1aa school & it did not hurt them in getting votes & becoming ranked at one point durring the season. Louisville has built a program playing easy schedules the past couple of years. I think it's great adding McNeese to the schdule & am looking forward to the game.
Also remember UCF has George O'Leery & he's a heck of a coach, UCF won;t be down for long & ECU now has Skip Holtz so look for them to improve as well. CUSA East will be a war.

I fully agree. I know McNeese State is rich in 1-AA football tradition and is a 1-AA powerhouse, I just figured that we would play a Division 1 team. I'm with you on the C-USA East next year!!! USM, Memphis, UAB, and Marshall all have great shots at going to the C-USA Big Game, and UCF and East Carolina will sneak into the mix by the end of the season. It will be fun to see the outcome and who will play the West champ in the C-USA Championship. This is going to be the first of many great years in the NC-USA and good luck to my Golden Eagles!!!! Go Gold!!! To The Top!!!!!!!

I think that CUSA's football product will be alot better than what people think. I kinow all the basketball fans are upset, but football is where the $$ is made.
Oh & let's not forget CUSA West - Houston, UTEP, Tulsa & Tulane all have potential to beat anyone. Rice & SMU are mysteries.
