The (Ringling Brothers) circus is leaving town
Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus is shutting down operations this spring after 146 years in operation. I guess score one for PETA, although I think kids' changing tastes had something to do with the dwindling crowds as well. The circus wasn't exciting enough for them I guess.

Sad day for most of us who probably went to the circus at least once or twice while growing up. Hopefully the animals find better homes/gigs. I suspect most of the performers move onto Vegas, although it might be tough for the clowns to find another job - it's tough to fit a clown car in a person's home for a child's birthday party.

Yes. Sad day. The radical left continues to destroy things and try to enforce their choices on others.

This thread could also be interpreted other ways. If I hadn't just read about Barnum & Bailey I might have thought you were talking about Obama & Reid. Or Trump & Co. leaving NYC for DC!

Isn't the DNC still looking for a chairman?

It isn't a sad day. Times change. Markets change.

We still have circuses.

Most clowns are ethical, so that disqualifies them.

I agree. Looks like the circus just got tired of dealing with the wackos. Glad I got the chance to take the kids to see it last year.

The owner publically acknowledged that losing the elephants made attendance plummet.
