Trump's Press Conference
I just say Trump's press conference and frankly I was pleasantly surprised. I thought he answered all the questions thoroughly and was even funny at times.

Very nice.

Constructive post Fitbud. Personally I thought he could've been more elaborate, but once he takes office I think you'll be surprised at how practical and malleable he is.

RE: Trump's Press Conference
There's been numerous people like Larry King that have said that we didn't see the real Trump during the election cycle. He said the real Trump is someone you want in charge. The election Trump was a character he played. Time will tell.

His comments on drugs just pole-axed my portfolio.

He was absolutely a different person today than he was during the election save for the part when he started pointing and yelling.

He reminded me of a CEO.

I have always been of the opinion that the United States is not a business and should not be run like one.

Today's press conference however gave me the slightest hope however that it can be with success.

The SJWs on Twitter are whining about it, so he must have been great.

The morning joe duo has also said that he is much different than the public persona. I guess we will see.

Not entirely true, Fit... While it shouldn't be run 100% like one, one of the best quotes I heard about the President of the United States was that in addition to being the leader of the free world, the head man at the top of all military decisions, was that he was also the CEO of one of the largest companies in the world.

It's a position that has many hats.

This is true. I don't think anyone has ever doubted Trump's abilities on the business side.

What people like myself are concerned with is how he is going to be on the human side of the issues.

RE: Trump's Press Conference
I agree, I was worried more about does Trump run the country along a "Hoover"/"Harding" type presidency and forget about (or not have good advisors) on the other segments of the country?

I will say that was my biggest concern first and foremost (and why I wasn't a trump supporter at the outset). That's why I said his Supreme Court Nominee was more important than anything else he said/did in the campaign. That would give me a decent guideline on where his political appointees would fall (and again, most of them I've liked)

I'm not high on Trump. I will say I did cast my vote for him and am anxious to see how he'll do.

I'm not going to say you did but let's not pretend the left did not try to paint trump as a terrible businessman with a record of mainly failure.

Quote:What people like myself are concerned with is how he is going to be on the human side of the issues.

That's fair but a clear headed view of Trump would indicate hes the least socially conservative republican win the party's nomination for president in my lifetime.

If trump worries you than, in all honesty, any of the other republicans running would have worried you more.
