So Schumer claims.............
Quote:Intelligence Community May ‘Get Back At’ Trump For Tweet

Appearing on “The Rachel Maddow Show,” Schumer said, “Let me tell you, you take on the intelligence community, they have six ways from Sunday to get back at you. So, even for a practical, supposedly hard-nosed businessman, he is being really dumb to do this.”

Are our presidents really supposed to fear the CIA? I'd say if that's the case, there's another swamp that needs to be drained.

I've already become convinced it should.

or its just human nature. Kinda like the cops pulling back in Chicago after all the protests. You get spat on a few times, you show them the other side.

Well, perhaps it's just me, but I'd like to think that our intelligence agencies should evaluate intelligence without any political or personal bias and then present that evaluation based on what they honestly see, not what they think the president wants to see.

As far as for "getting back at a president", a president who can use his powers to influence your agency's funding via congress, I would ask, who's being really dumb here?

You can leak things without it effecting your evaluations of intelligence information. It's two different things.

Well, the POTUS can just appoint new Agency heads, can't he. Shouldn't be too difficult to stop any nonsense.

Why would you leak something if you didn't have an agenda?....which was my point, no intelligence agency should have an agenda on an issue. Report the facts that are known and then your analysis of what those facts and other factors might mean, nothing more.

I used to get off the Metro at Foggy Bottom and walk past where Reagan was taken after he was shot every day when I worked in DC. 23 rd and M.

The last really into the political spectrum and head of the FBI was J. Edgar Hoover who was a cross dresser. I thought I'd put that in there for tommy. It seemed he had a lot of power because he had a lot of secrets on the politicians.
