It still amazes me they count Gonzaga and Wichita State as mid-majors yet exclude C-USA from these rankings.

I wish I could. The poll has been around for 18 years and I believe C-USA has never been included. Notice how C-USA isn't listed below.

"NOTE: The Mid-Major Poll is made up of teams from the following conferences: America East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Horizon, Independents, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Summit, Sun Belt, West Coast, Western Athletic."

C-USA chooses not to participate, because they want to pretend that they're not a mid-major.

UB should've had the ball with 30 seconds left and a tie score. Instead Ohio got the ball after that BS jump ball call and hit a came winner with 1 second left.

The whole game was one bad call / missed call after another going in Ohio's favor.

3 technicals fouls called on UB too for arguing to the refs at how absurd this game was officiated.

Congrats MAC refs.

MAC refs don't even hide it how much they hate UB.

It's that time of the year again!

EMU beats the doors off of BG without Raven Lee. Might not be so crazy to say we are better off without him.

C-USA chooses not to participate, because they want to pretend that they're not a mid-major.

had a conversation with Angela Lento (she runs the poll) and asked her specifically about CUSA's absence from it. She confirmed that CUSA insisted on not being included because they see themselves as "high profile" and refuse to be labeled mid-major. A couple of schools in CUSA tried to make the case to the league office but were shut down.

I don't disagree with you. Buffalo lost its cool and had players getting t'd up and ejected with the lead... I don't think UB got screwed, i just think it was a terribly officiated game on both sides. I will say this on Ohio's behelf.. Campbell had a lot of soft fouls called on him too.

UB has to be more disciplined and if they are they come away with that win and no other reason.

no doubt the refs were not great and I don't agree with the jump ball call at the end either. I think their justification for it was the demonstrative way in which the Bull's player twisted and yanked the ball and with the Ohio player falling they might have seen that as one cause the other when that might not be the case. just guessing. either way, they should have let them play it out.

Yeah.. I hate how quickly jump balls get called.. These are men in conference play.. You have to let them duke it out a little for a rebound, especially in the final minute of play.
