And that should make every team in the conference a little weary. Look at what GaSo's TO did in the conference. CSU's Option was better, in my opinion.

We handled their Option last year well. We beat them last year 44-16

If he has been made coach in waiting it's a great move by Coastal.

You handled an FCS team well as you should have.

Isn't that right stAte. 03-drunk

We smoked them and they went on to become #8 ranked FCS team making it into the semi's.

Definitely a great move for CCU, but if Chadwell is confirmed HCIW what does this mean for their current head coach? lol

Same thing it meant for Moore. CCU wins with this contract. They have a South Carolina guy to get recruits. They get a guy with a winning culture. They get a guy who is young. And they get all that on the cheap.

There were two obvious choices to replace Willie Fritz. One just dethroned NDSU and won an FCS national championship at JMU. The other was one who made top 10 teams at Charleson Southern and is now apparently HCIW at a conference mate.

Freakin' brilliant hire. 03-banghead 04-chairshot

Nothing Moglia is 67, believe his contract goes until he is 70. He knows he is not going to coach forever. This is a great move. Also keeps the program away from Mickey Matthews, who is a great coach but believe he is too old for another ahead Coaching gig.

Usually head coach in waiting deals are at schools with coaches close to retiring. CCU' s coach is not that old is he...rich but not retirement age.

I've been critical of Chadwell so can't say I'm jumping with joy over this. But as someone on our board said it takes all of the positives without his negatives while allowing him to get out of the shadow of CSU. With that said, I hope he wins :)

Retirement age is 55, and Moglia is 67 and will be 70 at the end of his contract. 01-wingedeagle

Gee..sounds like you think the rest of the Sunbelt should just go ahead and forfeit next seasons title right now to GS. Believe we at ASU will go ahead and give it the old college try on the field first though.

Not sure how you got to that conclusion.

But as GS' 8-0 first season proves, overlooking a newcomer with the right tools is foolish.
