It's incredible. I don't know how many permanent memories I have sealed forever in my mind the past 9 years. Let me name just a few that I remember:

---Capping off the perfect 15-0 season. I remember people were still skeptical of Coach P. saying that it was Donnan's work that really was paying off.

---The win over BYU that capped the perfect 13-0 1999 season. I remember how amazing that feeling was...to beat a great team in a bowl game...to end up gettin ranked in the Top 10 in the nation -- one of only three Div 1-A teams that went undefeated that season.

---The come-from-behind win led by Pennington in the 1999 MAC championship game over WMU. That was my first game...as a kid who had some sort of idea what was going on. That's when I became a true hardcore Herd fan.

---The one there is NO WAY I can forget. The GMAC Bowl 2001 double overtime 64-61 win over ECU, led by Leftwich the legend. That was one of the most surreal things I've ever experienced...not only as a sports fan....

---For some reason, the Leftwich-led GMAC Bowl victory over Louisville and Ragone in 2002 stuck in my head also. We beat them by a score of 38-8...it really made a statement to the fooball world...yet again.

---Another one that NO ONE (even many that aren't Herd or Akron fans) will never forget is Byron's heroics at Akron in 2002.

---Lastly, the victory over #6 KSU. Probably my favorite victory of all-time. One of the few games that I actually cried after watching. Reading the articles, watching the game for a 3rd or 4th time even brought tears to my eyes.

Any other major memories that I have left out that occurred under the Pruett watch?

Great memories, Kenny.

However, we beat Loserville 38 - 15 in the GMAC Bowl. They scored a late TD and went for two to make that score.

You're correct. I must have been thinking about the 38-8 halftime deficit that we had in the 2001 GMAC Bowl which was followed by an unreal Leftwich/Watts/Davis comeback in 2OT. I believe that was the highest scoring bowl game in history...and the record still stands.

I also won't forget Coach's comments on Head's missing of the PAT which would have won the game in regulation.

I just love his smile, his enthusiasm, his ability to stir the pot, and the way he won so humbled and proud of his boys.

The GMAC vs ECU

WMU for the MACC in Huntington , the wild comeback

Blowing out the CUSA competition in every bowl game, especially the look on Minters face as we totally dominated UC

The LIttle Miami debacle in Huntington, remember all the post about the food , water and then of course we bugged the locker room

Randy's run for a TD in the Army game, possibly one of the greatest in all of college footballs history

Just 5 great memories of Pruett coached Marshall football teams
