Seems to be a trend of failure in these kind of cases for Obama's DOJ.

You are correct. I am very concerned that someone can pull a gun out of their suit case and kill innocent people.

You on the other hand seem to be jumping for joy.

You can stop with the feigned indignation. We all know you were throwing keggers every time a cop was shot and killed.

There's a picture circulating on Twitter that was allegedly released by the Alaska National Guard that lists Aashiq Hammad (aka Esteban Santiago) as a Sunni Islamist. I'm attempting to verify via a reputable source. MSM obviously won't touch it with a 10 foot pole, so no help there.

If true, radical Islam strikes again. Heck yeah the MSM nor the soon to be replaced POTUS won't touch it. Extremists or jihadists is the closest in name they will get despite the facts.

Hey Fit... looks like once again, having the initial thought of "Muslim" after a mass shooting/attack in a public place ended up being correct... again. Man, maybe there is something to that, huh?

Now, pretend to be upset some more. Maybe some of the victims were off-duty police.

And how exactly does the FBI arrest and detain someone who has turned themselves in before the carnage?

He told the FBI he had voices in his head. They took his gun, gave it back a month later. He left his newborn in a car while interviewing with the FBI

So you want the FBI to arrest and detain everyone that comes to them saying they hear voices?

That isn't their job.

You are/were a teacher Fitfail, what were you required to do if a student came to you with a problem that YOU couldn't fix? What does the law state?

Hearing voices is not criteria for psych hold. You have to be a danger to yourself or the public. It all depends on what the voices were telling him.

Some tidbits from this story.

"Transportation Security Administration rules allow travelers to pack unloaded firearms in checked luggage, so long as passengers declare their weapons to the airline while checking in, and they are packed in a locked, hard-sided container."

"In 2015, TSA discovered 2653 guns at airport checkpoints" (so those would be ones in carry-on bags - these violators are fined and/or arrested).

"Florida is one of a handful of states where people with concealed carry permits are prohibited from carrying weapons in public places such as airports. A measure to repeal that law was set to be introduced to the state's judiciary committee Tuesday. It's unclear whether Friday's shooting will impact that bill."

I'm not a seasoned traveler but has anyone ever seen someone showing a gun to the airline employee at a check-in line to prove it is unloaded?

I always fly with my Sig. it's unloaded, magazine out, inside of a locked case and in my checked luggage. Completely contrary to fit's assumption that people can just conceal how they please. I notify the attendant when I check in, and then I am escorted to a separate screening area where they X-ray my luggage and determine if they need to pull it out to verify it's actually unloaded. They ask me to take it out every time. Probably my Hispanic appearance makes look Arabic like good ol Santiago. My trusted traveler pre-check status never lends me any leniency. But that's it in a nutshell.

I would like to believe that anyone who, voluntarily and without being solicited, walks into an FBI office and mentions voices in his head and the word, ISIS, would get the same treatment as someone mentioning the word "bomb" as he goes through a TSA scanner.

It depends on the problem. If a student came to me saying that he was hearing voices, I would refer him to administration.

What did the FBI do?
