RE: It starts today - GOP war on LGBT persons
Lets just recap

1) Anti-LGBT legislation introduced in Texas
2) Anti-LGBT legislation passed in Mississippi
3) Anti-LGBT legislation passed in North Carolina
4) Anti-LGBT legislation introduced in Alabama
5) Anti-Gay HUD nominee refusing to commit to non-discrimination against LGBT persons saying that LGBT persons shouldn't get 'extra rights'. An 'extra right' to him includes marriage. http://www.newnownext.com/ben-carson-lgb...s/01/2017/
6) Anti-Gay State nominee refuses to continue existing US opposition to anti-Gay persecution as part of our foreign policy. He also actively fought his own shareholders for decades to protect employment discrimination at Exxon-Mobil and headed one of the very few companies to remove protections for LGBT persons.
7) Extremely anti-Gay AG nominee. One with a history of trying to expand any and all anti-Gay rulings to the maximum extend possible and even beyond credible metrics.
8) Extremely anti-Gay HHS nominee.
9) Extremely anti-Gay Education nominee
10) Extremely anti-Gay Energy nominee

So that's one side of the equation. Where's the other side of the equation....

This is what I get in response.

1) Trans people should just deal with any problems they encounter and absolutely NO mitigation of their concerns is warranted
2) Its okay if LGBT persons are be discriminated against with taxpayer dollars
3) There are no such rights that LGBT persons have and there should be zero protections if they are discriminated against
4) Its perfectly okay if LGBT persons face extreme persecution overseas, unless that violation of their rights is coincidently perpetrated by a person or actor also opposed by the alt right.

---

Does this pretty much sum it up so far?

Based upon your posts the past six months the only person it seems Putin owns is you.

Putin owned Hillary because she gave him a sweet Uranium 1 deal.

Putin owned Obama because he basically waltzed into Crimea.

Putin owns Trump because certain states wont force doctors to tell gays and trannies that their lifestyle is healthy and acceptable.

Yea, one of those doesnt sound like the others.

All of which could have been remedied by signing some simple legal documents. I'm not suggesting that gay marriage is unnecessary per se, but the whole idea that gay people had no way to allow their partners to make decisions for them etc etc is not true and only intended to 'up' the victimization.

I know because my uncle was 'married' long before it was legal to do so... and he made all sorts of decisions for his partner at the end of his life. No it doesn't make me an expert, but it does make me a witness to the reality for my uncle... A gay man in suburban Texas in the 1980's and 90's. His father disowned him... but his half-brother (my father) and my family did not.

It really comes down to the left's need to just keep parsing the population into smaller and small groups so everyone can achieve near individual victim status. My opinion is this is due to the fact that they can't point out whites being a majority any more. As heterosexual, white men continue to become a smaller and smaller percentage of the population, they have to make sure their group remains an even smaller percentage so they can blame us for all their ills.

The simple fact is there are only two Genders, men and women (with the occasional hermaphadite tossed in the mix, 1.7% on the high side of the data). Everything beyond that, what you chose to do with your equipment and how you chose to dress, is simply a matter of preference. You can't based law on preference, because preferences change and can't be legislated properly.

Again, you simply define things your way then use it to justify extreme persecution of LGBT persons.

Not me defining it, that's nature. Again, what you chose to do with your equipment or what you chose to wear indicates preference, not gender.

But at no point are ANY of our concerns addressed by GOP legislation....

Why?

Because, as I implied in the OP, that this is really a "War on LGBT" persons.

Do you think you should be guaranteed a job, housing, free stuff from the government? I am struggling with what you are actually after. It sounds like you want preferred status, not normal.....

No discrimination in employment, public accommodations, housing, or service provision.

Rule of thumb...is it illegal to deny this product or service or job or promotion or apartment because the person is Baptist (or pick any other evangelical faith)? If not, then you shouldn't be able to do so because the person is LGBT.

Thanks for the response, are you talking about public or private employers or housing?

Public and private employment....if you can't do say 'no Baptists', then you can't say 'no Gays'. And by saying 'no Baptists' that means someone that doesn't follow any religious or ethical tenets.....no reason needed.

Uhhh, how would anyone know if you're Baptist, gay, straight, or an Episcopal acolyte or anything else?

Do ANY of those people wear it on their sleeve? If so, why?

I've worked in a ton of stores, not one time did anyone ask, offer, or decide someone was gay, straight, trans or anything else.

Now, if we came to KNOW them, one might find out, but then so what? If we cared enough to get to know them, whatever their proclivities were didn't matter.

Tom. serially. just stop. you're not helping...

Political landscape is changing fast. Trump is turning the Republican party into a labor party. LGBTQ activists are calling all the shots for the Demarcates now.
