So what's the next visible advancement as we near the completion of this first field? Enclosing the building? Second field? Pavilion?

It appears they are getting the subgrade ready for the covered field. If you look close you'll see the footings/foundations for the columns are in place.

I assume the pavilion will go up before the turf?

Moving around a bunch of dirt and gravel today where the pavilion + field will be.

That field needs some gold on it.
Looks nice though.

Looks as if the pavilion field is on the fast track. They are not messing around out there.

I've been impressed with the early pace of construction for the new business school building too. Being so close to the new football facility (literally being able to look across the football complex from the upper classrooms) could help pique the interest of the business students towards UAB football.

Yeah, Im sure thats why.

Camera remains down. Though probably not a big deal today with the rain. Hope it comes back soon.

A lot of the steel for the pavilion was delivered this morning!

Some day those players will be able to point to that turf field and tell their children / grandchildren about being among the first players to practice on that field when it was new.
