He has all the leverage. He has it in hand and can sign it whenever he wants. WMU isn't going to force his hand.

What are the odds then that he gets hired away by a P5 team whose coach got hired away to the NFL? Who would we be targeting in that event?

Certainly plausible. That's why there is no reason to sign that extension until summer.

Detroit paper says Minnesota is considering Fleck. Their coach on the hot seat after the player revolt.

Every P5 job going forward will "consider"him. The Minnesota story is multiple layers of speculation. So far it's just media guys pretending they know something. Any of us could've come to that conclusion as well. It's not exactly news.

Detnews is repeating speculation some other source speculated about.

Administration needs to be a bit careful here. Don't want the tail wagging the dog. Fleck asked the big pocket doners to step up and they did. He I believe will do the same now that the cotton bowl is behind us. This will get done
