This is the only interesting big bowl game I've seen yet. Too bad WMU QB spotted Wisconsin an easy 7 points with that INT on the 12-yard line.

Fun fact, WMU scored more than twice as many points as Ohio State and Washington scored in their two games combined.

WMU played well but the game was never in danger. I figured it would be a 2 TD type game since WIS plays a clock killing game where the score can appear much closer than ghe game actually was. It's not often you see a team fumble 5 times and still be remotely close.

Disappointing bowl season for the MAC.

Outgained and outscored Wisconsin quarters 2-4, but the first quarter farts were too much too overcome. Still a nice competitive game unlike OSU-Clemson, Iowa-UF, etc.

Boise v Arizona Fiesta Bowl Dec 31 (Tempe, AZ) 66,000... Houston v FSU Peach Bowl Dec 31 (Atlanta, GA) 71,000... WMU v Wisc Cotton Bowl Jan 2 (Dallas, TX) 59,000


So despite having a larger distance for both teams to travel there is only a 7,000 and 12,000 difference in attendance. Not to mention that this game was played on Jan 2, which is the end of the weekend and the other two were played during the weekend. But hey congrats on having Arizona and FSU bring in a bunch of fans to compensate.

The Outback Bowl had two storied P5 teams playing each other today and had 8,000 less people than the Cotton Bowl. Hmm, what BS are these AAC boners going to make of this?

Add to it, that game only had 5k more and than the Cotton Bowl this year and both teams had to travel over a thousand miles in order to attend.

FYI if you watched the game then you should have heard the announcer comment on how well WMU traveled to the Cotton Bowl.

Uh, last time I checked UConn and UC lost their three BCS games, and that's when they both had the benefit of being in a major conference.

And yeah, I'm sure you and FSU would sell out a NY6 game in Pasadena on a Monday afternoon if you played under those circumstances. You really think that in a somewhat equivalent scenario for WMU, such as playing Wisconsin on a weekend in Minneapolis, that they wouldn't fill the place to the rafters after bringing 40K to Detroit for the MACC on a Friday?
