2016-2017 Coaching continuity
Fingers crossed that this remains true, but this seems to be one of the first times in a while that every team in the MAC will retain its head coach. It also appears that nearly every coordinator and position coach is being retained. Continuity like this is something that most fans don't appreciate when it comes to player development. Especially with position coaches, being in the same system for multiple years allows them to coach techniques and develop routines and drills better tailored to the overall system being used.

EMU lost its OC to Fresno State.
Of course, the big one is retaining P.J. at WMU.

I believe that EMU's OC is the only coordinator in the MAC that's known to be leaving right now.
And yes, Fleck staying is big, but keeping his staff is just as important to his continued success.

I do agree that the MAC was very fortunate to retain key coaching talent.
Typically a couple teams need to rebuild their coaching staffs.

Fleck would have really been the only head coach worth taking. Everyone else hasn't accomplished enough to be on bigger school radars.

Darn, another season with Rod Carey! Don't look too in-depth just look at his overall record and he's a huge hit. Now blow up our phones for interviews to hire him!

CMU's 80 year old OC Mo Watts retired, maybe a decade or so too late. Gino Guidigli was promoted to OC. Sounds like this was the plan for a while. We will see.

Yeah, Watts probably should've hung it up after he helped Miami win the MAC in 2010. I can imagine that it's tough for those veteran assistant coaches to hang it up once and for all.
This continuity bodes well for the MAC in many respects, although it probably won't be very surprising if next season has a ton of turnover. You'd think Fleck would leave if WMU has another great season, and the likes of Martin and Creighton may be lured away if they sustain their success given how big of a rebuild each had to do. Carey and Haynes will be squarely on the hot seat, and I can see Leipold being in trouble if he only wins two games again. And to Ohio fans, how long do you think Solich keeps going? The dude will be 73 next September, I guess he wants to stick around to end the championship drought.

I think the rumor is Solich is under contract for two more years.
Expansion to Peden is starting this summer. The gripe by Solich is he didn't have a lot of facilities in place to get the program established. His current streak of non-losing seasons didn't start until his 5th year in the program.
His thinking then is more in terms of facilities then years. As long as his health is good I think he wants to hang in there as HC to build the program up as much as possible.

The irony contained in this post is outstanding.
