Great stuff.
I was rooting for both teams.
Looking forward to playing EMU next year!

RE: Why the Bahamas Bowl is such a great experience
One can not UNDERstate the fun and joy of this whole bowl game episode.
The low light might have been the game itself, as the Robinson Stadium is the worst I have ever been in. (it makes Rynearson seem like a football palace complete with rest rooms, concessions, etc.).
The rest of the experience was great. Folks stayed at one of several hotels. Where I stayed I hung with some parents at the restaurant, pool, etc. We took a taxi to the game. We attended the pep rally, etc. etc.
All I had to do is have on a green EMU shirt and I was golden...
Lot of this is a function of how Paradise Island is on the Bahamas. Many of the folks on the island were there for football. It wasn't like going to Miami or Dallas for a big bowl and get lost in a big city.

That's pretty sweet you were actually able to make the long trip. However, I do wonder how long this bowl will stay in existence. I hope it stays as the video shows how much joy it can give a program, but the location, stadium, and crowd certainly have to play a factor.

This gets to a discussion I heard about the purpose of bowl games.
Robinson Stadium seats 15K. So 15K x $50 is still chump change ($750K).
The game isn't played to draw 25, 50, or 75K. The difference between attendance of 5K vs. 10K is chump change (250K).
It is played, yes, because ESPN like the 3.5 hours, C-USA has a home for one of its teams, other conferences like it, etc. etc.
But I think the big winner is the Bahamas, itself.
Let's say that the Bahamas tourist folks, including maybe the Atlantis, toss in a couple million bucks. Popeyes similar. EMU probably had over 100 players and staff at the Atlantis.
The Bahamas gets incredible advertising for pennies... I can't think of more effective ways to spend advertising monies.

BTW, am I using the wrong terms:
Should I have said can't "OVERstate..."
(I think everyone knew what I meant to say).

Hey!
I see Charlie Batch made the trip.
Glad to see him supporting the team.

Maybe they should get one of the cruise lines to co-sponsor and you could take a cruise and attend a football game on the same trip.

I guess this is called photo journalism (correct term?).
It beautifully summarizes what the whole experience was like for the entire EMU athletic department, FB program and fans.
Great time and you played a competitive game.
This bowl should be a keeper IMO. Way cheaper than Hawaii.

Everybody knew what you meant. If you were a butthole poster I'm pretty sure someone would've pointed out your mistake.
