Except for the fact that they're beating the number 4 team in the country by 17, not losing by 40 to New Mexico State. Otherwise, agreed.

Don't you just love Lane Kiffin.

First he misses the team bus.

Then his mind is somewhere else besides the game in front of him that he has responsibility for calling plays. Did you see Saban gong wild on the one delay penalty? HOw much of the delay was because Kiffin was a bit slow getting signals in?

Hey, yo, when I posted that it was the 2nd quarter and they were going nowhere fast until Scarborough turned it up a notch. (it was just a little analogy I thought of on the fly because that's how our O has been called for the past 6 seasons)

I'm not even a big Troy fan, and it kind of hurts a little bit to think Clemson slipped through the cracks in that game...

The Alabama/Washington game was hard to watch, refs were terribly in favor of Alabama.

Clemson/Ohio was just a trainwreck, so much for these two being the 2 of the 3 most exciting bowl games of the year.

If Alabama and Auburn both win, then we finish with the highest winning percentage right?

So if our math is right:
Clemson wins the natty and the ACC takes the title outright no matter what happens in the Sugar Bowl.
Cemson loses to Bama and Oklahoma wins, we tie with the Big 12.
Clemson loses to Bama and Auburn wins, we win outright.

So who here hates Bama and is pulling for them anyways? 04-cheers

ACC wins with Clemson win, ties with Alabama win.

B12 ties with Oklahoma win.

ACC is the only one that can win outright. Unfortunately the SBC needs to cheer for Alabama.

ACC 8-3 .727
Sun Belt 4-2 .667
B12 3-2 .600

Why is the championship game included in the standings, it's not technically a bowl game? Although this year the games inclusion could benefit the SBC.

Nope, not cheering for Alabama. No way.

RE: Bowl Record by conference
I'm glad we ended with a good record, but I think we largely benefit from sending our best to play mediocre teams from mediocre conferences, or in some cases bad teams from decent conferences.

I don't want to take the wind out of our sails, but we have got to start winning our OOC games to start the season. It's pretty apparent that beating Tom Simpson State in the Twinkie Bowl doesn't move the needle the same way that knocking off a P5 school at the start of the season does. People remember the 2012 ULM season because they beat Arkansas, not because they played Ohio in the Independence Bowl.

Let's hope 2017 brings some upsets the Sunbelt's way!

RE: Bowl Record by conference
I'm not going to take away anything from our bowl wins, Toledo and Ohio were 2 and 3 in the MAC, both will probably finish in the top 50, maybe top 40, and Ark State and Idaho we're underdogs and both won easily, but I do agree if we are ever going to get national attention and respect we must start winning atleast a few OOC games every year against P5 schools.

You beat the teams on your schedule. That's the way it's always been and there is no adjustment to determine who had a "good" bowl season. Ohio, Toledo, Air Force, And Colorado state were not bad teams. Southern Miss with Nick Mullens is a very good team. The only "bad" team played was UCF who didn't have a win against a team with a winning record.
