I hunted with a man who distributed Junior Johnson's daddy's liquor to Columbia, Charleston, Augusta and Savannah back in the 40's and 50's before his daddy got busted. He used to tell us stories around the fire pit as we passed the bottle of whatever he brought that weekend about his days of meeting up with Junior to get that week's haul and how the bootlegging was done back in the day. He passed away back in January from cancer, and I miss Pops every trip to the hunt club.

mine will pass soon.....I call him every single morning to give him props in a variety of 'stink-ism'...he laughs now...

Buck Henry dies at age 89. He was known for a ton of stuff, including hosting Saturday Night Live 10 times in the show's early years. He also wrote a ton of great movies (The Graduate, What's Up Doc, Heaven Can Wait - also directed that film) and television shows (Get Smart).

one of his first designs was on the 'sip's gulf coast....you won't find it on the internutz....even he didn't claim it....it's now out of business...

true story.....after a 3 day drunk festival out in the gulf, we stopped by to play it on the way home....the look on the head pro's face when we walked in was priceless....
