Matt Lengel catches a TD pass from Tom Brady. His first ever NFL catch! He's the last pro link to Northeastern football. As a NU Freshman, he was redshirted, then NU dropped the program after the season.

He then transferred to Eastern Kentucky.

Here he speaks to the media when he got signed off the Bengals practice squad about his time at NU. Sad...

Thanks for that info, I didn't know about him.

I was a student when the football team was cut. I remember our final home game that season it was raining, I can't remember who we played, maybe it was Maine or Hofstra. But I was really tired that morning, and with all the rain, I thought, I'll skip this one, there's always next season.... :(
