He's been bouncing around, but he's currently RB coach/ST coordinator at Vanderbilt.

And probably well paid, too.

Genyk may not be an option but his former OC might be.

My thoughts are we will get a fired fbs coaches who will pass through for a year younger fcs ddiver junior college coaches who view emu as a promotion and will stay for several years doubt there will lateral moves from one Mac school to another

Why?
Why wouldn't CC look to the FCS ranks? Isn't that his M.O.?
Hasn't CC hired both FCS and FBS coaches...

DeBoer we'll see. Can't argue the stats, but often inconsistent, and butted heads with Roback. His short yardage play calling was a serious weakness as well.
Can't go backwards to some pro-style OC. Would be nice to add a young, innovative guy, and 2 replacements that are much better recruiters than the 2 leaving.
Creighton being put to the test to make the right hire, and keep Grissom commited.
Roback is the franchise. Need to build an offense around his arms and moxie.
With one year of eligibility left?
My thought exactly. He's 1 of 22, and average to poor without a good Oline, as we all know. The endzone pick again!
Perfect offense for Brogan and our returning starters would be something similar to the Baylor & Tulsa scheme. Spread concept, 50/50 run/pass, with lots of deep shots.
Huge hire that we need to announce asap, especially for Grissom & recruiting.
I agree with the spread concept as we have a lot of receivers who can catch it.
That might make it better for what will probably be a green OL next year.
I still maintain too many folks are underestimating Roback the way Lions' fans underestimated Stafford. (I've always like Stafford more than the typical Lions' fan).
Not sure most MAC QBs can make the throws that Roback can... (with a good OL, Roback is the best QB in the MAC next year?).
EDIT: Forgot that Woodside at UT will be back. Roback is my #2 MAC QB.
Right on Steve,
It's laughable to hear some comments that Roback is average/poor.......Wait until he's gone, then everyone will soon understand how good that kid was at the most important position on the field.

I'd say Roback and MBB's Riley received much, much more criticism than warranted.
I'd think folks expected too much, unrealistic expectations and ended up disappointed.
When the final chapter is written to Roback's EMU career, I have go down as having been a big supporter of both Riley and Roback, not always a popular thing on these boards...

Wonder if we just promote from within so we're not completely changing scheme.
Anyone on the current offensive staff have the resume to handle it?

RE: Kalen DeBoer going to Fresno State
Some of FSU not so happy with the head coach hire. We may see Kaleb Deboer back at EMU after Creighton is hired away from EMU after leading us to back to back bowl seasons. Hopefully Neathery and Bullough stick around because maybe they become the head coach/def coordinator.
Listen, if you want to be great at anything, you should anticipate outcomes by making moves today that position you for success :-)

I checked Keen's resume. Very strong.
Very, very impressive at MN. State at the D-II level. Also experience at NE-Omaha which did something to their football team to concentrate on other sports.
My guess a coach who has big upside and is still young.

DeBoer is the new offensive coordinator for the Indiana Hoosiers per the Athletic.
