If Clemson pulls off the W it'll be their first non-conference win against a ranked team on the road in program history.

9.8 seconds left, Clemson up 61-60 and will inbound. They're in the double-bonus.

RE: Game 11 - Clemson 7PM Wednesday 12/28
And just like that, this game got even bigger. Clemson is now on a 7-game winning streak, will likely garner a solid number of Top 25 votes next week, and is now up to # 39 in the RPI.

They're also 3-1 against the RPI Top 50. This will be our 2nd opportunity against a Top 50 team. Given that Clemson will likely be either a major bubble team OR a firm at-large team as the season moves along, a win against them would prove huge for our resume. Glad Brownell's crew pulled this one out.

Plenty of seats still available. Section 112 is right behind UNCW bench and stubhubb has tickets around $40 and up. Gym only holds 10,000 so not too many bad seats in the house. Tickets upstairs are only $15. I stand by my opinion of "If we beat Clemson, we should be in the top 25".

We all agree we should be there. I was saying don't hold your breath though. We already should have been there.

I watched the game and in typical Brownell fashion it was ugly but a win. I don't think either team is a Top 25 team talent wise but they both have good records. Clemson will be a tough out at home and he will have them ready to play. The new big looked very rusty but consistently got good low post position when he was in the game. If they get Cacok in foul trouble it will be along night for UNCW. Should be a good game if they let them play and don't forget it is an ACC team playing at home-don't expect any calls to go your way.

SC was without its best player so that was a huge benefit to Clemson. I see Clemson as a big match up problem and it will be fun to see the two different styles playing against each other. I am hoping for a great night for us and that they have an off night, I can see them being given 40+ Ft's

To me this is a preview of what our dogfights with COC will look like this year.

It'll be on their minds, sure. But it is 3 days later. I'm sure they'll spare a few hours to see a really good basketball game.

Don't worry about a little ole CAA school Clemson, you have bigger fish to fry. I wouldn't even prep for us if I were you. Get ready for conference play

He's had this game circled on his calendar well before it was ever scheduled. He's gonna throw everything and the kitchen sink at us to make his point. As much as I like and respect the man... I really hope the team is ready for a rock fight.

RE: Game 11 - Clemson 7PM Wednesday 12/28
A look at Clemson:

Six players have played all 11 games, with 7 primary players getting PT and points

Blossomgame 6'7" 220lb RSr. .486% fg, .171% 3pt, 5.9 reb, 17.4 pt
Holmes - 6'2" 195 lb RGrad .348% fg, .34% 3 pt, 10.7 pt
Grantham 6'8" 215 lb Jr .411fg%, .34% 3pt 5.5 reb 10.5 pt
Djitte 6'10" 240 lb Sr. .577 fg% 9.4 reb 7.9 pt
DeVoe 6'3" 210 lb Jr. .408fg%, .375% 3pt, 35 asst 10.5pt
Reed 6'3" 185lb. RSSo .426 fg%, .462% 3pt 9.8 pt
Mitchell 6'3" 195lb So .490 fg%, .500 3pt. 9.7 pt
Thomas -. 6'9" 230lb So .750 fg% 5.0 reb 8.5 pt

First thing that stands out is the fact the Clemson starts a RS Grad, RS Sr., two Jr's and a Soph., so they are very experienced.

Their starters are 6'2", 6'3", 6'7", 6'8" and 6'10", with their 6'7" guy as their leading scorer. They come off the bench at 6'3", 6'3" and 6'9". So, they are going to always have size on the floor. Could make it tough to drive and rebound.

So, the question is can UNCW force them to go smaller to deal with our quickness, deflections and press? Their 3 big men are going to have to handle the ball a lot to break the press with their two guards.

Blossomgame(who is from Alphretta Ga. like Cacok) is going to be a handful. First team ACC with NBA talent. Not sure how we are going to handle him. He can post as well as drive strong to the bucket. No way Flemmings can stop him, and once he gets by Flemmings, Cacok is prone to foul on the drive. Not to mention, Cacok is going to be covering a 6'8" or 6'10" post player. Clemson is strong in the post and below average from 3. This game looks to be one where Cacok and Flemmings could get into foul trouble quick, or give up a bunch of point in the post. If that happens, we really don't have a chance.

A zone would be nice to have in our pocket to mix things up, but Keatts has shown we absolutely will not play a zone.

I would let Cacok cover the 6'10" guy, Flemmings on the 6'8" guy and Bryce on 6'7" Blossomgame. We can then hope that Cacok can stay out of foul trouble, and run their big man off the court. If we can do that, and get them to go with three 6'3" guards, and 6'7" Blossomgame and 6'8" Grantham, we have a chance.

Don't know if we can force them to go small. Their bugs can run the floor much better than EZU. Alabama went to a full court press in the second half and Clemson did have problems with it. I'm hoping that is where we break them.

Over on the Clemson boards they are talking about how important beating us is for their RPI so i think they know. Lol.

"UNC-W is a massive game. Top 20 RPI team. Unfortunately". That is the title for the post. God I hate when people put that hyphen in our name.

I actually think our boys are the breed that embrace hostile energy. I hope there is noise and excitement. The Assassin knows how to silence that.

Brad will his team ready to play as will Keatts and that makes for a test of wills I think. If UNCW can score off the press and sped the game up they have a good chance but if not I don't see them grinding it out against Clemson on the road. If the game is in the high 70's UNCW can win but if it falls down in the 60's Clemson should win. You will get no calls there but the students will not be there so that is an advantage for UNCW.
