RE: Congrats
If ULL had won the SBC would have won the progressive cup, as I think Army and Air Force win.

I'm not giving up on USA. I think they have a shot, and now, perhaps some extra motivation. Army did beat Navy, but they may be coasting into this game.

Starting to wonder if WMU is extremely overrated looking at the performance of their league so far. I know most of the MAC teams have lost close games, but they have still lost them all. I will say I've expected a win every time we face MAC team as I just don't think they have the athletes to beat us.

Should make the next few games more fun to watch for all of us. Best case scenario for us all is for both our conferences to win out and continue to close the perception gap that exists between our conferences and the AAC and MWC.

You're funny. You should have selected Jekyll & Hyde as your handle.

Just sick of the arrogance of the AAC and MWC posters. Hell, half of the MWC played in the WAC with us and now they all think they're at a different level than we are. I'm enjoying watching the losses being handed out by CUSA and the SBC to these jerks.

Oh, they're getting their comeuppance.

I'm more entertained by their dogged belief that "marketz" is more important than on field performance. The days of the big TV contracts are coming to a close.

I only hope our AD is looking to align us with an entity that realizes delivery of content is going to become very compartmentalized and will happen via the internet. More importantly, the development of geographically compact conferences and strong rivals that will put butts in seats is paramount to continued success of college athletics. Or that's how my crystal ball is reading the tea leaves while I rub my lucky rabbit's foot. 03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao

RE: Congrats
UPDATE:

Sun Belt back atop G5 conference bowl standings as MT lays an egg in Hawaii bowl.

SBC 4-1

CUSA 4-2

Ind 1-0

MWC 3-2

AAC 1-4

MAC 0-4

A USA win vs Air Force would clinch the Progressive Cup for the Sun Belt.

A USA loss coupled with a North Texas win vs Army would guarantee CUSA at least a share of the Cup.

A USA loss, a UNT win, and a Baylor win over Boise would make CUSA the outright winner of the Cup.

I now have to pull for Air Force and Baylor in those games.

They really are a very good team. WMU most certainly has the athletes to beat App this year.

I know you probably won't like my opinion, but I think they would beat App on a neutral field by 7 points.

By no means are they extremely overrated. Overrated, maybe .. but that is quite subjective.

Looks like our conference (CUSA) crashed and burned on winning whatever "cup" ya'll are speaking of. But, man, that was a good game between N Tex and Army. Army really gambled on going for the TD in OT on 4th and goal from the 3(?). Good read by the RB to cut it straight up. I didn't think the play was designed that way, but maybe it was. Looks like the SBC will have the best record in bowl games, at least for the G5. Congratulations to the conference. In the games I saw, the SBC teams played very well.

I love it! Now watch Troy take it to Ohio!

BR, what have you written that would cause "ragin4u" angst? Maybe you or one of the ULL guys understand, but I certainly don't. My observation is they take hatred to a higher level, yet claim Tech folks hate ULL. I certainly don't but I certainly don't agree with them often, which is not the same as hatred - as they seem to believe. Doesn't make much sense. ULL folks don't seem to think logically.

Interesting you say that considering the outcome of your games against both. Y'all hung with WMU on the road better than at home against us despite the Apps not having our best player, and the Eagles only scores coming via an INT and blocked FG.
