Nice to see the Cajuns go down. Southern Miss should have won by two scores, 482 yards to 252 yards. The turnovers and the botched field goals keep ULL in the game.

I thought USM tried to give this game away and ULL just didn't have the offense to do it. All the stupid penalties, the Mullens fumble, and the interception.
When you out gain a team 481 yds to 252 and only win by a TD it tells me you made quite a few mistakes. ULL has a pretty decent rushing game but their passing attack would rival one of the triple option schools.

Definitely a reflection of the season. Sporadic. Chaotic. From spectacular to idiotic in a matter of seconds. No poise.

ULaLa had a limited offense. No passing game whatsoever. They lacked talent at QB, WR, and OL. McGuire was really good and carried their offense. Their front-7 was pretty good and shut down our running game early. When Mullens had time, he picked apart their secondary. Hudspeth is winning with what he has. I'll give him credit for that. We should have beaten them much worse, but penalties and baffling mistakes kept them in it.

7-6 means two winning seasons in a row. Recruits will have higher confidence that we're truly 'back' to our winning ways. Hopson needs to seize the moment, with MSU and OM down, and steal some difference-makers.
