Could the NIU secondary slow down the WSU passing attack?
Mike Leach is known for high powered offenses at Texas Tech and now at Washington State. Their QB has over 4000 passing yards on one of the best offenses in the country. They have torched a lot of teams this season but fell way short of beating an elite Washington team. I think its most likely a long day for NIU once again in San Diego. But I am always up for more Huskie Football!! The NIU defense made some nice strides towards the end of the year and I loved the way Santa played with intensity. Most of all I would just enjoy seeing the Seniors one more time. NIU should take the opportunity if given and get the Huskie Brand out there once again!

Whats the status on Maddie? Kenny?

Regardless of the situation I feel for all kids in Minnesota dealing with this horrible situation and mostly I feel for the family of the girl involved and of course her. Horrible situation all around.

I hope NIU goes there. What'd be odd is if NIU just played loose, not a care in the world being thrown in there on short notice -- and throwing out the shocker, and upsetting Washington State.

It'd definitely be a Huge boost for the MAC... as throughout the season, Boise beating Wash St was the big schtick on why Boise deserved to be above WMU... but throw in 5-7 NIU to do the same job... man, would be great for the conference! And save Rod Carey's job!

No.

And no.

However, Wazzu did lose to Eastern Washington University to start the season.

So I guess there's a chance...

Eastern Washington would beat NIU. NIU lost to 6-5 Western Illinois.

No chance.

We'd have a hard time beating ANY team in the post-season.
