I think you're missing a solid match-up in Idaho and Colorado State. USA will beat Air Force because it's how they've played this year so I understanding ignoring that.

Apps defense is better than a-state and Ohio as one pointed out in another thread. Toledo will be able to move the ball between the 20's but I think our defense creates multiple turnovers in this game ... 3-4 maybe 5?

App State is ahead of Arkansas State in every single defensive stat except sacks. With a stronger strength of schedule. I'm not sure what leg you have to stand on here. What else would you use to determine which defense is better?

I'm pretty sure our center has been hurt .... and that goose egg we left down at u-laf is rolling around somewhere.

Toledo is better than everyone App played this year except Miami and I think they would have played Miami better than App did in Boone. I hope App can win, I really do.

About anyone could have played better than App did against Miami this year, just a horrible performance. They did recover quite well though.

The Idaho game will be previewed Wednesday with the next 5 or 6 days of games. This podcast went through Tuesday.

Toledo gets Miami OOC next season on the road and the following at home. I bet they watch this game to get a guage on the 2017 Rockets.

I still don't think App has played an offense like ours this season. Being held under 30 points one time, and 3 passing TD's in every single game this year..... Getting takeaways will be key. Our RB has never lost a fumble in his 4 year career, and our QB has thrown only 9 picks. WMU caused 3 turnovers though so it can be done.

We can beat anyone...but I don't think that USA over AFA can be considered likely by any dispassionate analysis. I hope USA proves the analysis wrong again.

BYU gave up 18 to Arizona, 20 to Utah, 17 to UCLA, 35 to WVU, 14 to Michigan state, 21 to Mississippi State, 28 to Boise State, 3 to Cincy, and 10 to Utah State.... 52 to Toledo. Yes this game ended up being an outlier for them... But it's not like BYU was playing slouches. That's a good Defense with a much better SOS than App... and although they are the 3rd best D we have played by yards given up on average. They play a P5 schedule and gave up 52 points to the Rockets.

Take the Toledo game out of their stats and they are ranked higher than 32 by a good margin. They are 15th in Points defense to App's 7th. BYU has 4 losses by a total of 8 points. They were less than 2 TD's away from being undefeated and the NY6 rep. Hind-sight is 20-20.... and no, Toledo has not been tested often. I've mentioned in my pod's, App's D is as good as Toledo's O. That's why it will be a good game.

If I was Toledo I would be more worried about what our offense is going to do to their suspect defense, got a good feeling we will put up a lot of points.
