I get that it's easier for me to say, having not spent the first 18 years of my life growing up in this state worshiping ACC schools.

But if you've been supporting UNCW through all the struggles of this team, it's high time to throw away the ACC and any allegiance you have to it. Every word or dollar spent talking about that conference rather than talking up this awesome UNCW team really does take away from where we want this program headed.

RE: Warren Nolan RPI Live update
I've been a Clemson fan since before there was a UNCW. Mostly football because my cousin played there and I went to his games. But UNCW is first in my heart. Clemson gets none of my money. UNCW gets more than I really can afford. And, since we still have no football team, it makes things easier.

RE: Warren Nolan RPI Live update
I grew up with the ACC and I am still a fan and always will be-have never given a dime to any ACC school. I no longer give any money to any school but I was a Seahawk Club member for years and had season tickets for 25 years. I did buy season tickets again this year and I have actually made a few games. If they do win both games this week, I think they get ranked and it would be a huge feather in the cap for UNCW basketball as a whole.

Probably not. Anytime you try to find UNCW stuff you always find Tarhole garbage.

Yes. We need to stop mentioning the ACC to drive down their Google rankings....it's on us. 07-coffee3 Look, I HOPE Keatts stays forever, but i'm not the type to bury my head in the sand. Fact is, Jimmy had better have our next up guy in his sights. And the next up guy needs to be a Run Defend Win coach to continue our style. If Keatts stays, having those coaches on the radar and developing relationships with them does no harm. OTH, if Jimmy isn't on this and he leaves, the shooting star will fall to the ground, and we'll be back to square one. I want UNCW to build a PROGRAM, not just hope we get the once every decade good coach. IMO, VCU is our mentor, and the consistency of their style of play is the key.

That's the last of my thoughts or speculation on his departure...04-cheers

For sure, but there will be plenty of time consternation once the season is over. For now, the jobs we're putting him in aren't open. We struggled through some rough times, so we need to enjoy this season for all it's worth.

UNCW drops 4 to #30, CofC drops 4 to #70 and Towson rises 13 to #93 in conference.

OOC, East Tennessee jumps 21 points to #96 with St. Bonaventure up 3 to #97.

As a result, he stayed on the floor for almost the entire game racking up points and rebounds. This is a tough team to beat when he's on the floor. Not sure how, but i'd love to see the +/- when he's in.
I'm bumping this topic up because I found http://www.statbroadcast.com/events/arch...confid=caa which has links to statistics for 4,147 CAA games in many sports (maybe all sports) going back to December 26, 2011. On the right it says you can filter by sport, gender, and date range, but it doesn't work. You can go through the Men's Basketball games to find Cacok's (or anybody else's) +/- every game.

RE: Warren Nolan RPI Live update
Funny. I read through this thread and was roundly criticized for linking Keatts to a NCSU job back in January. Also was told there was no way Gottfried would leave in 2017....

Look a couple posts further up and you'll see where I originally mentioned NCSU being a graveyard of coaches, to which even YOU disagreed sir.

You did get it right on Gottfried though, which is strange considering your disagreement with my post.

Go Seahawks!

No it does not there could have been problems with the coach and his staff which would over ride going to ncaa 4 years.

That's the point. No matter how successful you are if you don't beat Duke and UNC on a regular basis, and win a national title it's not good enough. #coachinggraveyard

RE: Warren Nolan RPI Live update
I was wrong about Gottfried getting fired, but I'm not ashamed by my statement. My rationale was that it would be unwise to fire a coach that they extended in 2016, and it would be foolish to fire Gottfried knowing that Yow is retiring soon. Both of those assumptions rely on logic, and as NCSU enters their coaching search, concerns over the AD situation have been expressed. Nevertheless, my prediction was wrong, but if I were a NCSU fan, I'd hold off on the gloating until they hire a coach. Another thing that hasn't changed; Keatts can make a ton of money by accepting a second-tier P5 job, but it isn't the best career move.

That's the issue, bricks. Nothing NC State does is logical.
