That would be quite disappointing, West Side Jesus Christ (some call him Kerry Coombs) would have been an incredible asset here for recruiting.

You did not mishear. That is exactly what he said to Dan Hoard.

After that sickening statement from Coombs, I imagine a lot of media and fans that pined for this "Cincinnati man" that "wants to come back to Cincinnati" is feeling a bit sheepish.

Pretty solid source here.

Great news! My rt-hand man, Kerry Coombs, is a Buckeye! In add to coordinating the SPT, he will have an expanded coordinating role on our D

Mike Mickens is the guy I want to come back and coach. I think he would be a great DB coach for us

Meh. Getting used to the feeling.

Congrats on the raise, Kerry.

Our local sports media is such garbage. They're as lazy as they come.

Exactly. It was nonsense from the beginning. He's the same as any other coach: out for #1. That doesn't bother me. The fairy tales about his motivations do.

The speculation was the local media going way overboard due to their love and obsession with high school football. Credit to Coombs for putting them in their place.

This is looking more like Urb doing a little addition by subtraction. Making room for a bigger player on his staff.

If no current Buckeye coaches come I would keep an eye on Stan Drayton, Darrell Hazell and Nick Sicilliano.

Hazell would likely be a very good OC

He must be giving up any hope of being a HC at the college level. It's hard to see how he can land a HC job without ever serving as a coordinator. But then, who knows if Fickell even wanted Coombs as a coordinator?

We do not need to pay a cheerleader 500k. Good lord some people on this board still think they are in high school.

I am curious who Fickell can pull in on his staff. As he said in his press conference, "you need great people around you".

As for Coombs' statement...slurp....sluuuuuuuuuurp. Forget that guy
