on 3rd and 15 with this running play!"

Rocky: "But Bullwinkle, that play never works!"

Geez, Buttsniffe makes Steve Sloan look like a genius! And he's also good at making Vandy look like a top-ten team! 04-drinky 03-puke

I guess we can forget the Heisman now. The only thing that is going to keep Corso et al from laughing at us all weekend is if Alabama loses to S. Florida.

This is unbelievably pathetic. We aren't anything close to being ready to play

Makes you wish the game wasn't on the tube!

Maybe Vandy will win the SEC - East 03-wink 03-lol 03-lol 03-lol 03-lol - we just don't realize how good Vandy really is. They are a lot like our opponent for this weekend - They go for broke and play one of their best games each year against Ole Miss and against Alabama.

You should've forgotten that the first time you ever heard Eli and Heisman in the same sentence, Wry. Eli will not win it, even if he wins 10 games and has unbelievable numbers that far surpass anyone else in the country. It's all political. Voters from the West vote for their favorite Pac 10 player, voters in the midwest vote for the best Michigan or Ohio St player, and so on and so on. If he wins games and puts up great numbers, he will probably win the South votes, but he will be lucky to even get mentioned in those other regions. The bias in these Heist-man campaigns every year is laughable. So I hope you aren't getting your hopes up on this.

However, for argument sake......even though we looked "questionable" yesterday, it is still a W. And his numbers weren't all that bad.
22/33 with 0 INTs and 275yds and 1TD.

Not astounding numbers, by any means, but certainly respectable and at least worthy of keeping his name on their list for another week....if it mattered.

I have been plesantly surprised that some of the sports casters/reporters (that I usually love to hate) have actually given Eli some good comments/press.

We would have to win the SEC and at least play for a N/C for Eli to win the Heisman Trophy. If the SEC would look a little better in games with other conferences instead of getting whitewashed, like Wingnut's team did, it would actually help the cause for Eli. (Just my opinion.)
