Just looking at the poll on Oct 16, there by that point would have been 5 undefeateds ahead for sure. Alabama, Clemson, Michigan, Washington, and Texas A&M. Add in Oklahoma. Ohio St was going to be ahead of Louisville, Baylor, Nebraska, and Wisconsin(who they just beat). So yea, Ohio St would have been at the worst case scenario like 7 or 8. That's not border line top 10.

And with what the committee said about Oklahoma, with their garbage defense, I don't think we can just assume that they get in. the committee doesn't care at all for Big 12 teams due to the crap defense they play in that conference.
