Interesting thought. What High Schools has NIU had some great success from??? And let's stick with Illinois schools.

Opinions Please!!

According to him, he also has offers from Minnesota and WMU. It will be interesting if the home turf school can trump the Big Ten and the Cotton Bowl

If PJ wants him, PJ will get him - even over the Big Ten school. He will hypnotize the kid like he does with everyone else. Guaranteed.

Man, if they can land Marozas this would add to the already very good recruiting class we have this coming year and it forms a great future of offensive linemen in my opinion. I really like this Isaac Hawn kid from St. Charles North coming this fall.

RE: 2018 Official Recruiting Thread
"Simeon High School (Chicago, Illinois) athlete Jayshon Jackson received his seventh scholarship offer from Northern Illinois University, announcing the news on his Twitter last Wednesday.
Northern Illinois University’s offer is the seventh one to date for Jayshon Jackson, who is currently a junior from the class of 2018. It also becomes his sixth offer from a Mid-American Conference team.
“Well, [Assistant] Coach Melvin Rice told me on Monday that I would be receiving an offer from NIU officially on Wednesday along with a visit at the school,” said Jackson.
His full list of offers in order of most recent includes NIU, Eastern Michigan, Central Michigan, Southern Illinois, Ball State, Western Michigan, and Toledo, the first school to offer Jackson.
When asked what date he would be taking his visit to NIU’s DeKalb, Illinois campus, he responded, “I’m not sure at this point, but I do know that it will be soon.”
“I believe that they’re a consistent contender in the MAC,” Jackson said regarding what he thought of the NIU program. “Their program is one of the more solid I’ve seen so far.”
During recruitment, every prospect considers the distance from a school’s campus, to their home. In Jackson’s case, the distance between Simeon and DeKalb is a little over an hour-long drive west, while fellow in-state school Southern Illinois, who extended an offer to Jackson back in June is close to a five-hour drive south to their Carbondale, Illinois campus. Although since every school to offer him at this time is from the MAC or in-state, no school presents a completely unreasonable travel time.
I asked Jackson whether a college’s distance matters to him, and he responded saying, “I don’t think it really matters much that I’m closer to home, but definitely what they bring overall!”
The 5’10,” 160-pounder has earned the athlete title, as he has played cornerback, safety, and most notably, quarterback and wide receiver. He has performed well as an athletic and mobile quarterback for Simeon over the years, but Northern Illinois has chosen to recruit him as a receiver."
As a long offseason approaches, Jackson vows to make it a productive one, telling me, “I want to work on gaining more mass, weight, and strength. My dad and I have already started my off-season strength training and nutrition.”
Jackson, who celebrated his 17th birthday this Tuesday said he plans on taking multiple visits throughout the coming months, but didn’t say when or where they would be. He further commented on visits from coaching staffs, saying, “I’m not sure if coaches will visit my home, but I sure hope so.”
“I will be attending more camps and 7-on-7 tournaments with my team, Midwest Boom. I will also be trying to prepare for next season and ultimately my entrance to the next level.”
Jackson told me he plans on attending the 2017 U.S. Army All-American bowl combine on January 5, 2017, saying he felt honored to be invited.
This offseason, expect Jayshon Jackson’s recruitment to look a lot like his on-the-field play, energetic.

Yeah - but FLA is becoming over recruited now. The MAC has a problem, the population is moving South and there are more good players down there than here. The good ones that are here you have to land. The Garapolos and Romo's who get 1 offer we have to find and get.
