International Locations-opening week of College Football
This year we saw opening weeks games in Europe and Australia. Plus were going to have a bowl game in the Bahamas.

Do yall think this could ever happen to a Sunbelt Team?

Hopefully not. That sounds incredibly expensive.

RE: International Locations-opening week of College Football
You need a (cultural or geographical) link to the host country otherwise this wouldn't work, eg Cal vs Hawaii in Sydney, Boston College or Notre Dame in Dublin,etc... Europeans are not aware of CFB (95% don't even know it's a big thing in the US), some countries such as UK and Germany have NFL games on tv, but they have no idea of College FB (games are available on pay tv though). On the bright side, you could have Troy playing Arkansas State or Penn State playing Ohio State, Alabama vs Notre Dame, probably wouldn't make a difference attendance-wise in most European countries... I live in Europe, so I should know...and I am glad College FB is not big here. I am already annoyed by so many locals watching the Super Bowl every year despite having zero Football knowledge 03-banghead

Countries tahta have appropriately sized stadiums and are aware of American Football in this hemisphere:

Mexico
Puerto Rico
Panama

Not sure about Cuba as it has been about 60 years of separation.

How about Troy vs San Jose St in Canakkale, Turkey? They've got a 13k stadium. It can be titled "The rematch 3000 years in the making"
