It's disappointing that it's on Friday but at least it's on national tv. A Friday game is going to significantly hurt turnout. I hope I'm wrong.
JMU needs to aggressively promote that this game is nationally televised on espn2 and we need you to show up and make bridgeforth look good. That's the only way to sell a Friday game to a fan base that isn't used to non-Saturday games.

When we played Montana it was on Friday and the stadium was packed. Of course that was when the stadium seated 15,000.

I think that it's great that it's on Friday night, prime time. Excellent publicity for the program.

Sucks that I won't be able to make it (if I hadn't just missed Thursday and Friday to go up for the TNF football game in Minneapolis I'd try to get out of work early and drive up), but those are the breaks living 6 hours away. I think there will still be a solid turnout. Students will want a study break. Most of our fans live within 2 hours and getting off an hour early isn't too difficult for many people.

I would be surprised if we ended up with the primetime game, which looks like it will be at 7PM on Friday according to the NCAA website. You would think ESPN is going to push hard to get NDSU v. SDSU. Plus, that is a short trip so that one less day of prep wouldn't be as big of a deal for SDSU. May also be wishful thinking as I will not be able to make a Friday kick but will definitely be there on Saturday.

The noon game on ESPN is the #1 slot for viewers. This is where NDSU ended up.

Damn the one time I can't make it, watch party in baltimore anyone? Kinda wanna start pregaming now.

Anyone have an idea how tailgating will work? Grass lots make sense- that's easy, but surface lots on a school day will open for game parking at ____?

Just searched my emails and couldn't find what they did for Montana. I think we got out there in the early afternoon (2-3ish maybe?), but I can't remember. I would imagine somewhere between noon and 2pm would be a good bet.

I don't know much about SHSU. Are they very similar to us? Offense vs defense-who is better, etc...

For the pro-fbs crowd, weekday games are a reality at that level. If you want big boy football, then show up next Friday.
Stop making excuses (unless they're legitimate). You can get off work or take a half day, for almost anyone.
Show up and prove how big time you think we are. Actively encourage your friends. It's on national tv. Don't let it look half empty, assuming someone else will show up and still sell it out.

I think our admin needs to lets students in free. What's 100000-150000 seriously. They will buy that back in snacks. I would suggest they do what they did with softball. Open the gates. If you are wearing purple come on in, if you are wearing blue or orange it will be 20$.
