Well, poor attendance in a small stadium looks even worse. Especially for a championship game. And please don't complain about the lack of LT fans as if that's the problem. A FB program as good as WKU's should be selling that stadium out all by itself.

Personally, I think attendance like this hurts WKU when it comes to placement in bowl games. If a team with the accomplishment of WKU over the past few seasons can't draw more then this for a championship game at their stadium, why would a bowl believe their fan base will travel well?

WKU has it going on the field. It seems they need to work harder at motivating their fan base to support them.

It also embarrasses the conference. Which was my original point, but you're dead on.

Don't worry there was a WKU bashing us for not bringing our band which I kind of agree with but that's not the problem today with fans out there

I would love to be hosting the championship game two years in a row and people whining about our attendance. Especially winning it two years in a row if WKU holds on to wing this one.

I don't think it's whining. It just looks bad. I think teams in the past have done a ton better in regards to attendance. If we want more tv money we need to improve attendance. I think Marshall had like 25 two years ago, today is like 12k

I just don't understand how nobody shows up to the championship game for a team like WKU who has looked great all year. That said, it is what it is... and I do agree that small crowds in small stadiums are even worse than okay crowds in big stadiums. Come on, WKU! Don't give us even more ammo to use in the rivalry... :/

It would have been so unfair if wku had lost last week and we hosted to a sold out 22k fans. :stirpot: ok now I'm done.

Ok, b#tching about attendance. If people want to do something about low attendance at WKU for this game, step up and win the right to host the game.

Yeah i wonder why... maybe its because people get really offensive about our attendance, as if we have ANY control over it. We know it sucks, we have talked about the reasons and potential ways to make it better, but realistically it's fairly out our control. So what's the point in using that to tear down the hardcore wku fans already on this board. Last I checked football is 100% about the teams and coaches and their performance in the season. If all you've got negative to say about WKU is our attendance, something beyond anyone's conttol, then awesome.... we're doing it right. Go find something that actually matters to complain about

That awkward moment when a post thanksgiving 6-6 USM team had more fans at our game against Tech than the reigning champions with a much smaller stadium. At least you could hear our fans on TV

If we want more TV money, we need more people watching the games on TV because you know, that is how the TV guys sell ads and make money. You said you turn off the game, that does not help the conference.

It's not out of their control. They just don't know how to do it.

Win the right to host and step up with attendance. Yeah, your right. Come on out and support your team and show your coach you want him to stay. Not.

That awkward moment when you're complaining about attendance for a game you're not at cause your team couldn't hack it.

Ftr, I'm at the game and having a blast! Enjoy your living room, rebel!

This. I walked into the house where the wedding party was getting ready (in a town 15min from BG) and they had the UK game on and didn't even know WKU was playing. And the bride and groom both went to WKU...

No ones watching it. That's why there are 12k people there and better games are on. Rebel

It's not awkward, it's actually going to hurt your team and getting an invite to a better bowl. Now if there were 30k there it's a different story. But there's not.

Regardless you guys are good and it sucks that there aren't more people attending the game. I'm not trying to be rude I'm just stating the obvious.

I bet you are. Got a 50 yard line seat you didn't even pay for. Hope Brohm really loves the high school support he gets there. My bet is he is a competitor and will jump that high school arena at the first offer. If he gets one.
