He's gone. What MAC coach would stay after a perfect season besides Bob Pruitt at Marshall?

Where did the $500,000 figure come from if WMU makes the Cotton Bowl? It's it 4 million spread across 12 teams so roughly $300,000. Anyone know how this works and what normally happens to that money?

He had the look of a guy who knew it was his last game coaching his team.

I genuinely hope he doesn't go to Indiana, damn near impossible to succeed there or at Iowa State

In the postgame, ESPN asked "Will you coach your team in the bowl game?" PJ's answer: "It's all about tonight." Not so much what he said but how he said it tells me he's gone.

Indiana should've gone guns out for Fleck or Brohm. They just torpedoed their program.

RE: Staying or going.
It remains to be seen if Fleck is a genius or a one-hit wonder.
No doubt he has done a great job at WMU, winning is the best proof of that.
But would Fleck's new-age motivations be tolerated if he had mediocre seasons? One or two injuries, like NIU has suffered over the past seasons, can make a difference between a great season and a bad one.
If WMU's QB or stud running backs had been injured early on in the season and they lost some big games, the "row-the-boat" mantra would be kind of a joke like it was the first season he brought it up.
This is WMU's dream season, and good luck to them , they've earned it. But I think Fleck is gone soon to a bigger program. Unless WMU comes up with some big money, Fleck knows that staying at WMU is risky. If he stays, a mediocre season or two would certainly tarnish his record and reduce his marketability. Going to a somewhat down-and-out P5 program gives him some breathing room for a couple of years with a $2 million dollar salary.
