Troy's Neal Brown a top target for.........
Western Kentucky???

It's looking like Purdue will not be able to lure Fleck. USA Today is reporting Purdue has zeroed in on Jeff Brohm and is reporting that WKU is already preparing for this and have identified their top choice as Neal Brown.

If true, try again WKU. No way that happens.

Why even talk about your top target before you even have a vacancy?

Not sure I'd leave Troy for WKU, another year like this one and he will get a much better offer. WKU isn't a better situation then Troy.

Would be a bad look for Troy, and a horrible move for Coach Brown. The guy is destined for P5 soon.

No chance this happens.

WKU's beat writer has already shut the Neal Brown report down. Said it's false.

Neal is getting P5 calls NOW... he's not going to WKU. Not to mention we can match anything WKU throws

But they're CUSA, a perceived better conference!

Only 2 P5 opening right now, Purdue and Oregon. Don't think Neal is in the mix at either.

You would know wouldn't you.

He has gotten calls from schools who still have their current coach.

145K difference in salary between WKU and Troy. WKU is going to have to go over 1M probably to even begin to tempt him.

Did Baylor decide to keep the replacement head coach with a long time contract? Maybe I missed it, maybe it was one from day one, or got done during the season.

Neal Brown wouldn't leave Troy for WKU. He'd basically be starting all over with his recruiting efforts... plus it's a lateral move.

Besides, the Alabama/Georgia/Florida area is easier to recruit solid talent versus the Kentucky/Tennessee/Indiana area.

Would make zero sense for Brown.

Grove is not going to be back next year.

It's all a bunch of random BS that somebody pulled out of they're butt. No need to fret or compare schools over a stupid rumor that got started. If WKU did lose our coach, more than likely the replacement is on the current staff

Yeah, I was about to say, Western likes to hire from within when the program is doing well.

Not a bad idea, I have no evidence, but IF we lose brown I think we might do the same
