More thoughts on the football season will be coming shortly

Quote:I'm proud, too, of the NIU football team which overcame much adversity to win four of their last five games to finish the year with a 5-7 record, including a 5-3 record in the MAC. This team showed a lot of fight, especially in overcoming a 21-0 halftime deficit to defeat Eastern Michigan, and behind our fourth starting quarterback of the season last Friday at Kent State. Be on the lookout for my Q&A on the state of NIU Football in the coming days.

Sounds like they may be hiding behind that injury excuse again. I wonder if the talented players who didn't play much this year were all injured? Seems to be the reason for not playing Huff and others, too.

We rode the injury excuse in 2015 and now in 2016. Assuming the injuries are real, is this major bad luck or is there an issue with conditioning?

RON CAREY'S PREJUICE COACHING DECISION MAKING COST THOSE SENIORS, PLAYES AND THE GREAT FAN OF NIU HONOR AND DIGNITY! FOR THAT VERY REASON HIS CONTRACT SHOULD NOT BE HONORED BECAUSE HE FAIL TO DEVELOP THESE YOUNG MEN!!!

When teams and morale are bad, injuries follow. Bad teams lead to a) lack of confidence and tentativeness that lead to injury and b) less motivation to return from an injury.
